Pollster Matt Towery appeared on Fox News with host Sean Hannity Tuesday evening to discuss the latest InsiderAdvantage polling on President Donald Trump’s approval ratings and their implications for the U.S. economy, noting that as good as the current rating is, it’s very likely higher.

“You know, last night, Matt Towery, we played fake news, CNN and their poll guy, freaking out because the Democratic numbers were so bad. You have Donald Trump plus 11, 55-44, and that’s prior to this real big economic news,” Hannity said.

“You’re very well aware of how credible the Atlanta Fed is. You used to be a state legislator in the state of Georgia. Um, this is a big deal to me, and $10 trillion in manufacturing commitments is a lot of money. That’s a lot of high-paying career jobs. And I didn’t mention we’re going to become energy dominant. That’s another big factor,” the host added.

Towery began: “Yeah, you know, years ago, I wrote a book called Newsvestig. It was about how you could take opinion and news and invest. A little harder under Donald Trump because the news cycle changes every 15 minutes. But things are really going well with the economy. You can feel it. And I think the average American realizes it, those who are on Main Street.”

““It’s Wall Street and the media that are the problem,” the pollster continued. “Wall Street is fixated on these tariffs, and the media is fixated on reporting the negative side of those tariffs. Most people aren’t feeling that inflation because it’s going down. Most people are not upset with Trump’s policies. They know he’s making progress. They have a general feeling that things are going well.”

“I’ll add this. Robert Cahaly, nor I, neither one of us really poll issues all that much. So we haven’t polled the economy,” Towery continued. “But I know one thing about Robert’s polling and our polling and InsiderAdvantage. And that is, if we have Trump at 54 or 55 or 56, he’s at least there or higher. Because we do not miss when it comes to polling Donald Trump.”

He noted further: “President Trump had something going for him this time he didn’t have last time and that’s four years of experience and four years of figuring out what went wrong last time that could go right this time. This time he has it down. Whether it’s an international incident or whether it comes to getting legislation passed. Whatever he does he does so much better this term because he has that experience and he’s acknowledged that. I think that’s going to spill over to these candidates in ’26.”
