Jeffries Says He’ll ‘Dox’ Masked ICE Agents Amid Death Threats

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) threatened to publicly reveal the identities of masked Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents involved in nationwide deportation operations.

White House border czar Tom Homan has emphasized that many ICE agents wear masks during these raids to protect themselves and their families from death threats, though that doesn’t appear to bother Jeffries.

“Yeah, the assaults on ICE officers are high. The doxing of ICE officers are at an all-time high. And people always complain, some of you here, say why are they wearing masks? Because they’re trying to protect themselves and their families,” Homan told reporters last week. “They’ve got a dangerous job to do, and they’re being doxed every day across this country. I’ve experienced myself a hundred times,” he added.

Despite the rise in threats and violence against ICE personnel, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries remained defiant during a Thursday press conference, pledging to reveal the identities of all federal immigration agents involved in recent deportation operations. “Every single ICE agent who’s engaged in this aggressive overreach and is trying to hide their identity from the American people will be unsuccessful in doing that,” Jeffries stated.

A vocal supporter of the prolonged effort to prosecute non-violent January 6 protesters, Jeffries went on to compare ICE agents to members of the Gestapo and Soviet NKVD.

.@RepJeffries just threatened every ICE agent:

“Every single one of them, no matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes, will, of course, be identified.”

“This is not the 1930’s. And every single one of them, no matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes, will of course be identified. That in fact is the law. And we’re going to make sure that the American people have the transparency necessary to hold people accountable,” he said.

Jeffries cited the recent arrest of Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) as an example of what he called federal “overreach.” McIver was caught on video last month elbowing and shoving federal agents during an incident in which she and several colleagues forced their way into an ICE facility. She faces a felony charge and up to eight years in prison.

“And we’ve got to address those issues first. That’s the human thing to do, while simultaneously, of course, preparing to deal with the broader policy implications, which as I mentioned, are underway,” Jeffries told reporters.
