Bongino Says ‘Room Full’ Of Evidence From ‘Comey’s FBI’ Discovered

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said during an interview Thursday morning that he and Director Kash Patel have discovered a “room full of evidence” from when James Comey led the bureau that he says will “shock” Americans when they learn about it.

In an interview with “Fox & Friends,” Bongino said that much of the material was in “bags” and was never digitized or otherwise properly entered into FBI databases, meaning it could not have been accessed in a normal manner, making it essentially “hidden” from discovery.

“There was a room, and we found a lot of stuff,” Bongino began during a segment. “A hidden room,” co-host Brian Kilmeade interjected. “I wouldn’t call it hidden, but hidden from us, at least, and not mentioned to us. We found stuff in there, and a lot of it’s from the Comey era,” Bongino added.

“We are working our damnedest right now to declassify. I totally understand people saying, ‘well do it now.’ The process is not all the information is ours to declassify. Some of it is other intelligence agencies. It’s not. We literally can’t do it,” the deputy director continued.

“Once that gets done and gets out there… And you read some of the stuff we found… in bags hiding under James Comey.. You’re going to be stunned,” Bongino added.

Comey has been making the rounds on cable news to defend himself against allegations that he posted a threat against President Donald Trump earlier this month on his Instagram page. He has also been critical of FBI leadership under Patel and Bongino.

Comey has also said he does not expect the Trump administration to pursue any further action against him over an Instagram post that some, including the president himself, interpreted as a call to assassinate the commander-in-chief.

In his first public comments since posting an image of seashells arranged to spell “86 47,” Comey told MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace that he finds it “hard to have regret” over a post he still views as “totally innocent,” calling it “crazy” that anyone would interpret it as an incitement to violence.
