As previously reported, Joe Biden’s appearance on The View on Thursday was widely seen as a debacle. His remarks were frequently unclear, with several moments of confusion and garbled speech. Despite these issues, Biden asserted that he would have won had he remained in the race. But, of course, that didn’t stop co-host Ana Navarro from defending Biden—both during the episode of The View and later in a CNN panel discussion analyzing the interview.
CNN commentator Scott Jennings harshly criticized Biden’s appearance and hinted that a significant development could be on the horizon. “I will just say watching [Biden] over the last few days reminded me that a whole bunch of people were telling us with a straight face that this man was capable of serving another four years as president,” Jennings offered, while Navarro listened with that trademark enraging smug face of hers. “And that these appearances coupled with what I understand is going to be the equivalent of a nuclear bomb dropped on the Democratic Party when Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson’s book come out next week, I don’t know that the Democrats have fully internalized what’s about to happen to them between what he looks like today and what they’re about to report, get ready.”
?Is something big coming?

Even CNN host Abby Phillip conceded that Biden may have “deficits” he’s unaware of, calling that “part of the problem.” Meanwhile, as most of the mainstream media initially downplayed or ignored Biden’s struggles, outlets like ours reported on them consistently. If media figures are now starting to acknowledge the truth—even belatedly—it only further reveals how much was previously concealed by Democratic allies in the press.
As for Navarro, she then clashed with Jennings over a reported claim that Biden told Kamala Harris there should be “no daylight” between them during her campaign. Navarro dismissed the report, saying it couldn’t be true because Biden denied it during his earlier appearance on The View. Jennings pressed her, jokingly asking if she was disputing the reporting. Navarro doubled down, insisting Biden “doesn’t tell many lies,” a claim that drew laughter from the panel. Even the typically composed Jennings couldn’t help but laugh, noting Biden’s long history of falsehoods. Jennings concluded by pointing out that the journalists who reported the “no daylight” remark continue to stand by their story.
Care to weigh in, @amieparnes and @jonallendc?
You’ve been called liars here on the “no daylight kid” moment – but my bet is you’ve got it right and Joe Biden can’t remember what he had for breakfast yesterday.

Notice how Navarro wouldn’t say directly that the journalists who reported the “no daylight, kid” story initially were lying, but instead defaulted to an attack on President Donald Trump because that’s all Democrats have: They can’t argue on the merits of the matter at hand so they have to bring in their favorite straw man. Pathetic and lame. Congrats again to Jennings for holding Navarro’s feet to the fire.
