Greg Gutfeld, the outspoken host of late night’s top-rated show Gutfeld! and co-host of The Five, is venturing into the game show arena—with his trademark political twist. FOX Nation has announced a three-part limited series titled “Greg Gutfeld’s What Did I Miss?” premiering May 12. The show’s concept involves isolating four contestants from all news and media for three months, then reintroducing them to the chaos of post-inauguration America during President Donald Trump’s second term.

The contestants’ challenge is to distinguish real headlines from fake ones—all for a chance to win a $50,000 cash prize. Sequestered in upstate New York from January 20 to April 13, they were completely cut off from phones, television, internet, and social media. Now, they’ll go head-to-head in a quiz-style competition that tests not only their instincts but also their ability to navigate the often bizarre realities of today’s news cycle.

FOX Nation President Lauren Petterson said in a statement, “Truth can be stranger than fiction and who better to help isolated Americans catch up on the headlines they missed during an unprecedented news cycle than Greg Gutfeld. We are excited for FOX Nation subscribers to have exclusive access to America’s most-watched late-night host’s game show debut as he informs contestants about what really happened while they were completely off the grid and isolated from the outside world.”

Each episode will be hosted by Greg Gutfeld, who will present a mix of bizarre and believable news scenarios. He’ll be joined by Gutfeld! regulars Kat Timpf and Jamie Lissow, serving as panelists to offer commentary and share their takes on the contestants’ decisions. “For these four contestants to learn what really happened while they were living in isolation, they’ll have to get through me first,” Gutfeld joked. “Lucky them.”

Since 2021, Greg Gutfeld has hosted Gutfeld!, a late-night comedy talk show that combines political satire with cultural commentary. The program has seen major success, frequently topping the late-night ratings charts. Gutfeld first rose to prominence as the host of Red Eye (2007–2015), a Fox News late-night show known for its offbeat humor. In 2011, he joined The Five as a co-host, a role he continues to hold on one of Fox News’ highest-rated shows.

Gutfeld’s move into the game show space follows a streak of record-breaking viewership. His late-night show just concluded its strongest quarter to date, drawing 3.3 million nightly viewers and surpassing long-established competitors on CBS, ABC, and NBC. Meanwhile, his continued role on The Five helped the program bring in 4.6 million viewers during the first quarter of 2025.
