President Donald Trump sang the praises of the El Salvadoran prison where he reportedly sent hundreds of suspected members of the now-declared terrorist organization Tren de Arugua last week. Trump’s comments, posted to his Truth Social platform, come as the Justice Department ramps up efforts to identify and arrest persons allegedly responsible for attacking and destroying Tesla vehicles at dealerships across the country, which Attorney General Pam Bondi has also labeled “domestic terrorism.”
“I look forward to watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20 year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla. Perhaps they could serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions!” Trump wrote. The president announced a deal this week between the U.S. and El Salvadoran President Nayib Armando Bukele to house the suspected terrorists in the country’s ultra-modern high-security prison.
Meanwhile, an “anti-capitalist” group that previously took credit for wreaking havoc in a Philadelphia neighborhood near the University of Pennsylvania during the so-called “Summer of Rage” in 2020 is now backing extremists targeting Tesla vehicles nationwide. A post on the Philly Anti-Capitalist website advised fellow activists to use more effective incendiary techniques than Molotov cocktails, claiming the latter leave too much forensic evidence that could lead investigators to the perpetrators, Fox News reported.
Tesla dealerships and vehicle owners across the country have increasingly become targets of anti-Elon Musk attacks, as Musk now leads President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Bondi has called the attacks “domestic terrorism” and the Justice Department on Thursday announced charges against three suspects in the Tesla arson cases. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philly Anti-Capitalist was responsible for vandalizing a university police vehicle, breaking windows of local businesses, smashing an ATM, and spray-painting anti-police and anarchist messages near the college campus—actions that led authorities to advise students to stay indoors.
The violent riot was one of many that erupted across the country in 2020 following the death of George Floyd. Now, as vandals firebomb Tesla dealerships across the nation, Philly Anti-Capitalist is helping to foment further violence. The group’s website advises against using Molotov cocktails—despite their use by radicals in various parts of the country—claiming they are less effective and easier to trace. Instead, it promotes more destructive alternatives, offering detailed instructions on the amount of explosive material to use and the optimal placement on vehicles to maximize damage.
Philly Anti-Capitalist also offers guidance on how to use these devices safely and swiftly to avoid injury and escape before being detected. The site directs would-be arsonists to an external source for additional information on maintaining anonymity during such attacks. “Stay anonymous, get home safe, and go torch the ever loving s— out of every part of this miserable society,” the post concluded. “Seeing the wave of tesla arsons has made us incredibly happy.”
