Minnesota Governor Tim Walz faced online ridicule Wednesday after asserting that MAGA Republicans were “scared” of his masculinity. The unsuccessful vice presidential candidate has reemerged in public discourse by launching a nationwide speaking tour and appearing on Governor Gavin Newsom’s new podcast to discuss the future of the Democratic Party. During their conversation, Walz and Newsom examined Trump’s appeal to male voters and the challenges Democrats face in terms of media portrayal.
“I think I scare them a little bit, why they spend so much time on me,” Walz said, as Newsom burst out laughing. But Walz doubled down: ‘No, I’m serious, because they know I can fix a truck they know I’m not bullshitting on this.” He then admitted that the Trump campaign convinced voters that Democrats were weak. “I saw it from me, and not that I spend too much time thinking about this and it just baffled me how much time they spent trying to attack me that I was not masculine enough in their vision.”
He recalled that during the 2024 election, Republicans mocked his masculinity by ridiculing the way he waved, used a straw, and publicly showcased his hunting and mechanical skills. “They focused on it obsessively, which I think again is their obsession their weirdness we buy their frame on these issues of sexuality,” he told Newsom — though clearly his Democrat Party is the one that is hyperfocused on ‘gender’ and ‘sexuality.’
After claiming that several people online claimed he appeared “gay” and not “masculine,” Walz told the California governor: “I think I could kick most of their ass.” Walz’s remarks immediately sparked online mockery, as social media users flooded in to ridicule the unsuccessful vice presidential candidate.
Jazz hands former VP loser Tim Walz told Gavin Newsome that he he could ‘kick Trump supporter’s asses’ in a WWE match.
