President Donald Trump said in an interview published on Saturday that he has ordered the Secret Service to turn over to him all of the information the agency has on the two assassination plots against him that occurred last summer, one while he was on the campaign trail and the other while playing golf on his course in Florida. “I’m entitled to know,” he told the New York Post.
“I want to find out about the two assassins. . . . Why did the one guy have six cell phones and why did the other guy have [foreign] apps? No more holding back because of Biden. . . . I’m entitled to know. And they held it back long enough,” Trump continued. “No excuses.”
Six cellphones were allegedly found in the car of Ryan Routh, the 59-year-old suspect in the second assassination attempt on Trump last September at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, FL. Thomas Crooks, 19, had shot Trump in the ear at a rally in Butler, PA, last July before being fatally shot by police. FBI investigators discovered encrypted messaging accounts on Crooks’ phone linked to platforms based in Belgium, New Zealand, and Germany.
Trump’s national security advisor, former Rep. Michael Waltz, has raised concerns about why a teenager would need to use multiple encrypted foreign apps. Waltz, who previously served on the congressional task force investigating the assassination attempt, has been advising the president on the ongoing investigation.
Former Fox News host and current independent media mogul Tucker Carlson made a shocking statement during an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan late last month regarding the past assassination attempts against Trump, namely, that he believes someone or a group within the Biden administration wanted them to succeed.
“If I was running the Secret Service for the day, what’s the first place you’d look? Oh, it would be the flat roof with a direct line on the stage,” Morgan said during a segment, referencing the rooftop where shooter Thomas Crooks, 20, squeezed off several rounds at the then-GOP candidate during a speech in Butler, Pa., in July before being killed by a counter-sniper team. Crooks managed to knick Trump in his right ear, nearly killing him, while striking three people in the crowd behind Trump, killing one and severely wounding two more.
“You think? And there was not one agent positioned or assigned to look at that. None,” Carlson countered. “They had no idea. Why? Well, because they wanted to kill Trump, obviously. The Biden administration wanted to kill Trump. I mean, there’s no doubt.” That led Morgan to ask, per the video below: “Do you genuinely think that?”
“Of course, I know that. And I know that by what I saw. In other words, if you leave your child inside a locked car on a hot day and go into a casino and spend three hours gambling and the kid suffocates, I can say, Piers, you killed your child,” Carlson explained. “You say, well, I didn’t mean to. It doesn’t matter. You didn’t care enough about your child that you went back and rescued him from suffocation.”
“It’s demonstrable. Your intent can be divined from your actions. If you allow a roof 140, 30, 40 yards away to remain unsurveilled, a guy with a rangefinder and a drone to come into your area while the president, President Trump speaking, you don’t care about saving the life of that man,” Carlson continued.
