On Thursday, Border Czar Tom Homan confirmed that a planned Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Aurora, Colo., had been leaked to members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang. During an interview with Fox News, President Donald Trump’s hand-picked border enforcer also said that he was planning to deal decisively with the perpetrator or perpetrators. “We’ve already identified how this operation got leaked. I’ll deal with that today,” he told Fox News.
Homan also suggested that ICE may start arresting individuals who interfere with its operations and mentioned that he was working “very closely” with the Department of Justice to receive legal guidance on how to proceed. “This is not a game. This a dangerous job,” he told Fox’s Harris Faulkner. “To have this top of interference puts the officers at great risk.”
Tren de Aragua has emerged as a significant criminal organization in recent years, gaining notoriety for its takeover of apartment buildings in Aurora, Colorado, during the 2024 presidential election that Democrats claimed was a hoax. During its operation, ICE discovered that the apartments were vacant, leading many agents to conclude right away that their mission had been leaked and that the suspected gang members tipped off.
Whoa. Someone leaked to Tren de Aragua gang members that ICE was raiding Aurora, CO. When ICE showed up, the apartments were empty.
Protestors also had bullhorns to warn illegals about ICE coming.

Newly minted U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a lengthy memo shortly after being sworn in earlier Wednesday, which will take the Justice Department in a completely different direction than under former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris. According to Fox News, the memo lays out Bondi’s vision for the DOJ, which includes a heavy focus on President Donald Trump’s agenda for illegal immigration, federal law enforcement, and ridding the department of blatant political bias.
According to the memo, Bondi announced that Joint Task Force Vulcan, created to dismantle MS-13, and Joint Task Force Alpha, established to combat human trafficking, would be “further empowered and elevated” to the Office of the Attorney General. These missions are expected to expand, with a particular emphasis on Vulcan’s efforts, which will now focus on dismantling Tren de Aragua among other dangerous illegal immigrant gangs.
On the cartel front, Bondi is directing the DOJ Office of Legal Policy to explore legislative reforms aimed at targeting equipment used to manufacture fentanyl pills and to add Xylazine, a new and deadly drug, to Schedule III of the Controlled Substances Act. Regarding illegal migrants, Bondi has instructed the DOJ to suspend all federal funding for sanctuary cities. Additionally, Bondi has directed the DOJ to identify and review all funding agreements with nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that provide support to illegal immigrants.
