Real Time host Bill Maher delivered a harsh critique of the progressive and far-left wings of the Democratic Party in a pointed monologue following President-elect Donald Trump’s historic comeback victory, which made him the first Republican presidential candidate in 20 years to win the popular vote.
“We’re going to hear about both tonight on the panel and throughout the whole show. The winners, the losers. My message to the losers, losers look in the mirror,” Maher began, leading to an awkward silence from the show’s liberal audience. “No? Well, maybe you should. Sorry. Well, that’s my feeling. Losers look in the mirror.” [see video below]
He then took aim at leading pollsters and left-wing pundits who for months predicted a blowout victory for the Harris-Walz Campaign. “You know, for months Democrats have been saying, how is this even close? And they’re right, it wasn’t. They could not conceive of a second Trump term, but they should have. When does America ever turn down seconds? I mean, come on. Look, this is just the facts. Trump won all the swings, all seven, and he ran the table.” The long-time HBO host further noted that Trump “has an amazing coalition.”
“I mean, he did better like in every demographic. The exit poll said he grabbed 52% of white women. He also got their votes,” Maher quipped, adding: “We’re gonna keep doing jokes here, okay? Right? Both sides, right to the end. I think that will be okay with them. We’ll test that, but I think it will.” Going on, Maher noted, “But you know, the liberal media, always more offended than the victim. Been saying it for years. They were like, ‘women, oh women are so upset about Donald Trump.’ Women are a little stronger than you think. Women were like, ‘whatever, I don’t have to f**k him, I just want bacon.’ But, I mean, women, that had to hurt for Kamala. I mean, the whole thing must have been very painful.”
The loss was so “painful” for Kamala Harris that Maher suggested she might want to call McDonald’s to get her old job back. “I mean, Kamala underperformed in every demographic. I mean, although she is still polling very well among illegal immigrant inmates who want sex change operations. Totally on her side,” he joked again.
