Trump 2024 campaign senior adviser Danielle Alvarez appeared on “Fox & Friends First” to discuss President-elect Trump’s plans for his first day in the next administration and her reaction to his historic gains among various voting blocs. Alvarez emphasized Trump’s strong performance in the election across demographics, including women, Latino, and Black voters. She also mentioned that Trump is already working to establish his transition team.
“His day one agenda is going to be unleashing American energy, unleashing American works, securing that border like he did in his first term, and of course, as he said, before he enters office, he is going to work on brokering peace through strength and restoring our position on the global stage,” Alvarez said, according to Fox News.
Meanwhile, famed sportscaster Stephen A. Smith lambasted former first lady Michelle Obama and daytime talk star Oprah Winfrey for the messages they delivered on behalf of Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing them of alienating millions of voters.
“In the end, celebrities, who are worth hundreds of millions, if not billions, who most American citizens feel are incredibly detached from their way of life and their quality of life, were not going to get away and guilt them into doing something different than what their experience says is going on and what they should do about it,” Smith said on a recent edition of his “Stephen A. Smith Show.”
He then played a clip of Oprah Winfrey saying a victory for Trump could mean they would never vote again. “This is the kind of stuff that alienates an electorate, alienates a voter,” Smith said. “Because the freedom that you tell them you have, you try to confiscate morally by letting them know, you ain’t worth a damn unless you vote the way we say you should vote. Who’s going to go for that in a general election? With an economy rife with inflation, with over 12 million people crossing the border … the value of their dollars dissipating before our very eyes.” Smith then went against a clip of former first lady Michelle Obama saying Black men voting for Trump was a vote against “us.”
Democrats are set to suffer more losses in the future following President-elect Donald Trump’s historic thumping of Harris. The upcoming 2030 Census apportionment forecast presents a challenging outlook for Democrats, as Republicans are poised to benefit from population shifts that could reshape the electoral landscape in their favor. The latest estimates suggest that states with Republican-leaning demographics are expected to gain a total of 12 electoral votes, potentially bolstering the GOP’s path to the White House in future elections.
According to 2023 population estimates from The American Redistricting Project, states that have leaned Republican in recent elections, such as Texas and Florida, are projected to gain seats in the House of Representatives, which will increase their electoral votes. Texas, in particular, is forecasted to gain an impressive four seats due to its rapid population growth, while Florida is expected to add two more. In contrast, traditional Democratic strongholds like California, New York, and Illinois are projected to lose seats because of declining populations. California is on pace to lose four seats, New York two, and Illinois one.
