Reactions to Vice President Kamala Harris’s town hall event in Delaware County, Pennsylvania—hosted by CNN—have been largely negative, as the vice president provided vague and nonsensical answers while failing to address direct questions. During the event, Harris faced criticism for her inconsistent stance on border policy. While campaigning for president in 2019, she supported free health care for undocumented immigrants, advocated for the decriminalization of illegal immigration, and labeled Trump’s border wall a “racist” project.
Now, following the entry of a record-setting 10 million undocumented immigrants under the Biden-Harris Administration, she claims to support a border wall and enhanced border security, two propositions she never recommended to President Biden nor spoke in favor of publicly throughout her vice presidency, even though Biden put her in charge of stopping the mass illegal immigration his policies created.
Also, Harris has frequently accused Trump of killing a “bipartisan border deal” that still would have allowed 5,000 illegal aliens to enter the country every day while providing pathways to citizenship for millions of border crossers. “To fix this problem, you’re doing this compromise bill, it does call for $650 million that was earmarked under Trump to actually still go to build a wall,” Cooper noted. “I’m not afraid of good ideas where they occur,” Harris jumped in, at which point Cooper shot back by asking, “you don’t think it’s stupid anymore?” in reference to the border wall.
“I think what he did and how he did it did not make much sense because he actually didn’t do much of anything. I just talked about that wall, right? We just talked about it he didn’t actually do much of anything,” the vice president falsely claimed, since Trump built hundreds of miles of new border wall and illegal crossings dropped to record lows by the time he left office. When asked whether she wanted to build the border wall now, Harris did not directly answer, saying, “I want to secure our border.”
Kamala Harris’s CNN town hall was a YUGE train wreck. Cooper ask a simple question, and true to form…she blows it up.

Later in the interview, Cooper questioned Harris about a frequent campaign critique, asking how she can present herself as a “change” candidate given that she has been in office for nearly four years. Harris responded: “I bring a whole set of different experiences to this job and the way I think about it than Joe Biden.” Cooper followed up: “Some voters, though, might ask, you’ve been in the White House for four years. You were vice president, not the president. But why wasn’t any of that done for the last four years?” Harris then responded with a rambling answer but never directly addressed the question.

“Well, there was a lot that was done, but there’s more to do, Anderson. And I’m pointing out things that need to be done that haven’t been done, but need to be done,” she said. “And I’m not gonna shy away from saying, ‘hey, these are still problems that we need to fix.” At one point, a Pennsylvania voter asked the vice president about her weaknesses and how she manages them as a leader. Harris responded with an answer that seemed reminiscent of something Michael Scott from “The Office” might say.
“Well, I am certainly not perfect. So let’s start there,” Harris said, giggling. “And I think that I perhaps a weakness, some would say, but I actually think it’s a strength, is I really do value having a team of very smart people around me who bring to my decision-making process different perspectives,” she continued. “My team will tell you I am constantly saying, let’s kick the tire on that. Let’s kick the tires on it.”
Kamala Harris’s CNN Townhall was a disaster. Just take this and share it to everybody. You don’t even need to say anything.
