A new video clip of Vice President Kamala Harris immediately went viral online over a question she was asked about whether or not there is still “joy” in her campaign, given her recent ‘joyless’ comments and criticisms of her GOP opponent, former President Donald Trump. NBC News correspondent Peter Alexander asked Harris Friday in Michigan: “At the convention, you cast yourself as a ‘joyful warrior,’ but in recent rallies, you have increasingly attacked former President Trump as unstable and unhinged.” Harris then added, “And unfit.”

Alexander the asked: “Is that an effective closing argument?” Harris said, “I think that one is not to the exclusion of the other. I have a great deal of optimism, as do the people who are here, about the future of our country, and I think that’s one of the things that is building the momentum that we have. People really do believe in what is the promise of America and our responsibility to fight for it. That is not in conflict with also being clear-eyed about the danger that Donald Trump poses based on the language that he has used, his admiration for dictators, and his inability to really focus on the needs of the American people. These things are not in conflict, they all exist at the same time.”

Alexander then asked, “The critics say the joy is gone, you respond?” Harris then broke into her trademark cackle, “Oh, I’m having a great time. Ha ha ha!” WATCH:

Earlier this week, a renowned lifestyle and men’s magazine has officially endorsed Donald J. Trump for the 2024 presidential election. Maxim’s endorsement came in a direct post on X (formerly known as Twitter) from the magazine’s account, stating, “Maxim endorses Donald J. Trump for President.” The endorsement adds to Trump’s momentum as he continues his campaign to retake the White House.

Maxim does not typically endorse political candidates. The magazine has long been a staple in American pop culture, with content that ranges from entertainment and sports to fashion and lifestyle, but rarely has it ventured into the realm of political endorsements. This makes their endorsement of  Trump in the 2024 presidential race particularly notable, as it breaks from their usual non-political stance and marks a unique move in the world of magazine endorsements.

Maxim was founded in the UK in 1995 before expanding internationally, including a prominent edition in the U.S. The magazine covers a wide array of topics aimed at a male audience, such as fashion, sports, cars, gadgets, fitness, and entertainment. It is particularly well-known for its features on models and celebrities, as well as its annual “Hot 100” list, which showcases popular and attractive women in pop culture.

Over the years, Maxim has established a reputation for its combination of visually stunning photo spreads, lighthearted articles, and coverage of topics such as sports, travel, and style, while typically avoiding serious political content. The magazine has traditionally appealed to young adult men and is often regarded as a staple of pop culture, focusing on glamour, humor, and entertainment rather than hard news or political issues.
