The Harris-Walz Campaign is being criticized for creating what many consider one of the most bizarre political ads ever, as the campaign continues to face challenges in appealing to men. The advertisement features a diverse group of men engaged in various activities—one is watering a garden, another is lifting weights, and others are involved in different tasks. Each man begins by declaring, “I’m a man.”
They then go on to highlight the traditionally masculine activities they engage in. Statements include, “I’m man enough to enjoy a barrel-proof bourbon,” “man enough to cook my steak rare,” and “man enough to deadlift 500 and braid the sh** out of my daughter’s hair.” Another says: “You think I’m afraid to rebuild a carburetor? I eat carburetors for breakfast. I ain’t afraid of bears, that’s what bear hugs are for.”
One of the men then declares that he is “sure as sh** not afraid of women,” something all of the actors in the ad proceeded to echo. “They want to control their bodies? I say go for it. They want to use IVF to start a family? I ain’t afraid of families. They want to be childless cat ladies? Have all the cats you want.” The ad then ends with an endorsement of Kamala Harris for president, naturally. “Woman wants to be president? Well, I hope she has the guts to look me right in the eye and accept my full-throated endorsement.”
The ad has been nearly unanimously ripped on social media, with most users blasting it as out of being so out of touch and cringeworthy. “Can’t believe the party that’s been openly hostile to men for a decade now is losing the male vote. So weird. How did this happen?” said political commentator Bridget Phetasy.
“Holy f**k. It’s like Kamala has never met a man before. This Kamala ad is epic cringe,” wrote top-rated podcaster Tim Pool. Another X user speculated that the Harris-Walz Campaign is run by “old hags” due to the references to carburetors. “You can tell this campaign is run by old hags because references like ‘rebuilding a carburetor’ sound like something you’d hear in a movie or TV show circa 1996 (because that was around the last time carburetors were relevant),” they wrote.

Conservative author and The First TV host Jesse Kelly added: ‘The only political outreach to men I’ve ever seen in my adult life is the cringe-fest the Kamala Harris campaign is currently doing as we speak. Other than that, I cannot remember a single politician speaking exclusively to men. On either side.”
