A touching moment involving former President Donald Trump is gaining traction on social media, though it’s not likely going to be reported by much of the corporate media because they are mostly anti-Trump. During his recent visit to Kittanning, Pennsylvania, the former president stopped by a grocery store and engaged with shoppers about the rising cost of living. When he encountered a mother who shared her struggles with skyrocketing weekly bills, Trump felt compelled to act.
Supporters are praising the encounter as a genuine example of the former president’s compassionate side. “Here, it’s going go down a little bit,” he told the woman while handing her a $100 bill. “It just went down 100 bucks.” Smiling, she responded, “Thank you so much, God bless you.” Trump replied, “We’ll do that for you from the White House, alright?” He asked about the three young men standing by her helping with the shopping, asking if they were her children, to which she said they were. “Beautiful,” Trump said of her sons. “Perfecto.”

A clip of President Trump’s kind gesture, spotted by the Western Journal, is quickly picking up plaudits from commentators on X. “This is more than Kamala has ever done to help any American,” comedian Tim Young replied to the video. Another chided the mainstream media for ignoring Trump’s benevolence or even being hostile as when multiple outlets focused on an awkward interaction between Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and several retail workers. “Trump is a great guy. Too bad media has brainwashed so many Americans,” X user Publius wrote in response.
Trump also spoke to the owner of the store, who said for most of the 25 years he’s been open, he’s made a profit, but the last three years under Biden-Harris inflationary policies, he’s lost money.

Before he could head out the door, an elderly grandmother got the chance to grab President Trump by the elbow and whisper her affection. “I see you all the time on TV, and you’re wonderful,” she told him. Her grandson, standing next to her, thanked Trump for taking the time to visit their hometown.
In contrast, critics of Vice President Kamala Harris argue that she has struggled to connect with voters on the campaign trail, often appearing less genuine compared to Trump’s interactions. Some have pointed to instances of staged retail visits that seem awkward or insincere. Conservative commentator Jack Posobiec highlighted a recent attempt by Harris’s campaign to stage a moment where running mate Tim Walz appeared to hand her a bag of Doritos in a grocery store. The scene was criticized when Harris was seen still holding a different bag from a previous take, undermining the authenticity of the gesture.
