In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, former President Donald Trump revealed that his youngest son, Barron Trump, has become more involved in politics. According to Trump, it was Barron who persuaded him to sit down for an interview with podcaster Adin Ross. Trump made these remarks during an interview at Mar-a-Lago in mid-August, shortly after his conversation with Ross, which garnered tens of millions of views. Barron’s growing interest in politics as he approaches adulthood and prepares for college has also been drawing attention.
“My son, he’s a great kid — a tall kid — he’s a great kid,” Trump told Breitbart News. “He said ‘Dad, you got to do Adin Ross.’ Barron is the one that pressed me to do it. That’s a big deal, isn’t it? The platform did over 100 million hits in one day.” Trump’s interview with Ross got millions and millions of views across several social media platforms, and Ross opened it up by telling Trump that it was “the most important interview I’ve ever done.”
The interview made headlines for several reasons, including Ross gifting Trump a Cybertruck and a Rolex. It was particularly well-received among young men, a crucial demographic that could significantly influence the upcoming election. In a mid-August article, The Daily Mail detailed how Barron Trump played a role in arranging this and other interviews for his father. The story highlighted Barron’s friendship with 17-year-old conservative activist Bo Loudon, noting that this connection has significantly fueled the young son’s growing political engagement.
While Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump have been politically active for years, Barron Trump’s public image was largely confined to photos with his father and mother, former First Lady Melania Trump, due to his status as a minor until recently.
Sources close to DailyMail have revealed that Barron and Bo have become an unofficial social media outreach team, strategically engaging with online influencers who might not be on the radar of Trump’s more experienced aides, thereby enhancing his appeal to younger voters. “Trump rates the boys and sees their input as an asset,” a source told the DailyMail. “He has no issues turning to them for advice on a subject that many of his middle-aged campaign aides wouldn’t have much of a clue about. The boys are business-minded; they’re patriots. But they are also normal, good kids who are finding their way.”
Bo, a rising figure among conservative influencers, is the son of television personality Dr. Gina Loudon and former Missouri GOP state senator John William Loudon. The Loudon family, active members of Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, is well-acquainted with Trump’s social circle. “My son Barron says hello. He’s a great young guy, but he’s a big fan of yours,” Trump told Ross during his interview. “My kids say, ‘Dad you have no idea how big this interview is.’ I said, ‘Don’t tell me that.’”
Trump wrote after the interview on Truth Social, “Wow!!! Adin Ross Interview yesterday EXPLODED, but in a very positive way! Platform set an all-time record, by far, with over 100 MILLION Views/Hits. Congratulations to Adin and his wonderful mother, father, and family, who I had the pleasure to meet. Thank you also to Barron Trump for the introduction to your friend, Adin. Young people are the future of America. THOSE NUMBERS ARE REALLY BIG ‘STUFF!’”
