RealClearPolitics correspondent Susan Crabtree has uncovered the latest in a series of security lapses involving Secret Service agents assigned to former President Donald Trump, including a recent incident where an agent left her post during a shift and for an absolutely outrageous reason. The incident occurred less than a month after Trump was nearly assassinated during a Butler, Pa., rally.
The 60-member team tasked with protecting presidents is among the most elite in the Secret Service. However, following the assassination attempt on former President Trump, reports of mismanagement, internal conflicts, and security breaches have fueled concerns that the agency’s shortcomings may have played a role in the incident. On Wednesday, during an event in North Carolina, a female agent assigned to Trump’s detail left her post to breastfeed her baby. This lapse, reported by RealClearPolitics, is part of a troubling pattern of recent security failures. Trump was in Asheville to promote his plan to eliminate federal taxes on tipped wages.
The agent, who was from the Atlanta field office, was in the room with two other family members, Crabtree noted. “During a Donald Trump visit to North Carolina yesterday, a woman Secret Service special agent abandoned her post to breastfeed with no permission/warning to the event site agent, according to three sources in the Secret Service community. Shortly before Trump’s motorcade arrival — I’m told five minutes beforehand — the site agent was getting ready for the arrival. (The site agent is the person in charge of the entire event’s security.),” the reporter noted on her X account.
“The site agent went to do one final sweep of the walking route and found the agent breast-feeding her child in a room that is supposed to be set aside for important Secret Service official work, i.e. a potential emergency related to the president,” she wrote. “A working agent on duty cannot bring a child to a protective assignment.”
“The woman was out of the Atlanta Field Office. The woman agent was in the room with two other family members. The agent and her family members bypassed the Uniformed Division checkpoint and were escorted by an unpinned event staff into the room to breastfeed, the sources said. Unpinned means they have not been cleared by the Secret Service to be there. When contacted about the incident, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the incident did not have an impact on the event and it’s under review,” she reported.
“All employees of the U.S. Secret Service are held to the highest standards,” he claimed. “While there was no impact to the North Carolina event, the specifics of this incident are being examined. Given this is a personnel matter, we are not in a position to comment further.”

She could have easily pumped, stored and had the family member not bring the baby to her highly potentially dangerous job!

She should be fired I am sorry but women should not be agents especially if they are breast-feeding and bringing their kid with them. There had better be some consequences this is unacceptable.

People need to be fired! When it was discovered and she wasn’t fired, the person who didn’t fire her needs to be fired and continue up the ladder until this shit stops. Unfuckingbelievable!
