Former Fox News star Tucker Carlson is set to release a very well-produced film that documents former President Donald Trump’s return to prominence after losing his 2020 race against Joe Biden in what some view as a highly controversial contest.
This week, the unconventional conservative journalist released a polished trailer for his upcoming documentary focused on the campaign to return former President Donald Trump to the White House. The 96-second trailer features dynamic scenes, including testimonials from Trump’s supporters, sweeping aerial shots, and enthusiastic crowds. Carlson, known for his flair as an entertainer, aims to craft a compelling narrative about the diverse coalition backing Trump this year. Highlights include hip-hop fans sporting red MAGA hats, cowboys with ten-gallon hats, and jittery footage from Carlson’s perspective during the July 13th assassination attempt. (See video below)
Asked about the momentum behind President Trump’s third presidential bid, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) described it as being characterized by “execution,” a sentiment that even some Democrats acknowledge. This efficiency is attributed to Trump’s close-knit team of seasoned advisors, including spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt and his own children, who are deeply versed in the successes and shortcomings of his previous four years in office and two prior campaigns.
They are focused on learning from past errors. Former Biden advisor Anita Dunn told Politico that the disciplined approach of Trump’s campaign significantly impacted the Democrat’s lackluster debate performance on July 27th. “The people who are running his campaign this time are very good. … They’re much smarter. They’re running a very competent campaign. We saw that early in this process. And so we had a reasonable expectation that they were going to have a fairly competent rollout and a fairly good convention,” she said.
Carlson, who has been a trusted media figure to Trump for years, promises “unprecedented access” in his latest film, and from the teaser trailer, it certainly appears he will deliver. Titled, “The Art of the Surge: The Donald Trump Comeback,” it is promised for later release on the Tucker Carlson Network, a media service founded by Carlson after spending more than a year on Twitter.
He found his footing there after being dismissed from Fox News following a major lawsuit from Dominion, which partly centered on statements he had made about their voting machines and their role in the 2020 election. Carlson was effectively embraced by Elon Musk and saw a surge in conservative users who flocked to the platform as Musk rebranded it as X and pledged to champion unrestricted free speech.
Although he remained on the platform, Carlson entices his 13.4 million followers with limited programming and other incentives to subscribe to his own network at TuckerCarlson.com. If his upcoming feature film, “Art of the Surge,” lives up to its promises, he could significantly reshape the conservative media landscape and demonstrate that his influence remains formidable since leaving Fox.
