Jack Osbourne, the son of legendary Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, declared his support for former President Trump following his resolute response to the recent assassination attempt against him. Osbourne, who holds both English and American citizenship, emphatically made the statement during the latest episode of “The Osbournes” podcast, where his entire family discussed the tragic events that unfolded during a Trump rally in Pennsylvania on July 13.
“But I got to say it’s probably not going to be a popular statement amongst mainstream, but, like, I’m voting for him after that,” Osbourne stated, according to Fox News. The topic came up on the Tuesday episode while the family, including Ozzy, his wife Sharon, daughter Kelly, and Jack were talking about current events and the assassination attempt came up.
Ozzy opened the conversation, saying at first he couldn’t believe the news that Trump was shot, noting, “When I first heard about it, I thought, ‘It’s not real. It’s not for real.’ And thank God the guy was a bad shot. But he killed a man,” the rocker added, a reference to Corey Comperatore, the local firefighter shot and killed by gunman Thomas Crooks that day. “Heartbreaking,” Sharon added, while Kelly chimed in, “Horrible, the innocent people that got hurt and killed.”
Jack elaborated: “I look at it like this. A president should be a leader, a president should be strong, a president should be able to kind of walk through anything. He gets shot in the ear, stands up, raises his fist while they’re trying to drag him off the stage. He doesn’t want to leave the stage.” He continued, “I’m like, OK, like he might not be totally full of s— because someone who’s full of s— if they get shot, the f—ing facade fades real quick, and you start seeing someone’s true colors.”
Dr. Ronny Jackson, who served as then-President Trump’s White House physician, declared in a letter on Saturday that the 45th president is recovering well from the assassination attempt and described it as a miracle that he’s alive. “I have been with President Trump since that time, and I have evaluated and treated his wound daily,” Jackson said in the letter. “He is doing well. As reported and witnessed by the entire world, he sustained a gunshot wound to the right ear from a high powered rifle used by the would be assassin.”
Jackson mentioned that Trump is still experiencing “intermittent bleeding,” which requires a dressing to be in place. However, Trump is otherwise doing fine, although he still needs to have a dressing in place, similar to the one he wore at the Republican National Convention last week. Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, held their first rally together since the assassination attempt on Saturday in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Jackson also reported in his letter that the bullet “came less than a quarter of an inch” from entering Trump’s head, producing a “2 cm wide wound that extended down the cartilaginous surface of the ear.” The Texas Democrat added there was “initially significant bleeding,” which resulted in “marked swelling” of Trump’s “entire upper ear.”
