Top-rated SiriusXM podcaster Megyn Kelly ripped President Joe Biden and his administration during a show segment on Wednesday following a report about Hunter Biden. According to sources, the first son has begun sitting in on important meetings with his father, President Joe Biden, much to the chagrin of veteran White House staffers.
According to insiders speaking with The New York Times, Hunter Biden is reportedly advocating strongly for his father to continue his presidency. Following President Biden’s problematic debate performance on June 27, Hunter has been a regular at meetings with senior White House aides, as reported by NBC News. Concerns have been raised about Hunter’s close involvement in presidential matters, with some commentators, like Kelly, expressing alarm at his significant presence in these discussions.
“Hunter is now going to the White House meetings,” Kelly said. “Hunter Biden’s there now. Hunter Biden – convicted felon … Drug-addled Hunter Biden — though he’s said to be clean at the moment — is going with the President to all of his meetings right now, apparently as like a backup Biden. And this is being defended by people like Mika Brzezinski as, like, no big deal. But it is a big deal, and there’s a real question about whether this is appropriate and why he’s there. They’re saying, the White House is saying, ‘Oh, it’s just because it’s a holiday week.’ Well, what does that mean? Is it like being your kid? Is it ‘bring your son to work day’ because it’s almost July Fourth?”
In June, Hunter Biden was convicted by a Delaware jury on three felony charges related to his acquisition of a revolver and making false statements about his drug addiction. Kelly expressed astonishment at the situation, calling it “remarkable,” and noted that according to the White House, internal polling data, as reported by Puck News, might compel Biden “to see the truth” about his political standings and the broader implications for his administration.
According to a post-debate poll, traditionally Democratic states like New Hampshire, Virginia, and New Mexico may be competitive for Donald Trump, the presumed 2024 Republican presidential nominee. Furthermore, Kelly mentioned that the same poll indicates a significant decline in Biden’s support in key battleground states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, and Nevada. “The electoral map, based on Open Labs reporting, would land as follows: Biden with 205 electoral votes, Trump 333,” Kelly said. “Three hundred and thirty-three. That would be a landslide.”
“Biden has lost at least two points in every single battleground state,” she continued. “New CBS polling puts it at four points that Biden has lost to Trump in the week of this debate. Four points in every single battleground state. Pennsylvania and Michigan. Biden behind by seven points. He’s losing Georgia by 10. Losing Nevada by nine. He’s behind Trump in Virginia, not by much, 0.6%. But behind Trump in Virginia. He’s behind Trump in New Mexico, not by much, but behind him in this reliably blue state, by 0.5%,” she added.
“New Hampshire, a state that Joe Biden won in 2020 by seven, and in which he had had a 10-point lead just a few months ago, just in December, Biden is now down by two. New Hampshire, a 10-point swing,” Kelly said. “In New Mexico, which Biden won by 11 points, Joe Biden is now up only two points over Trump. Just in June, before the debate, he was up seven points.”

According to another new report, White House staffers have had to tread carefully when briefing President Biden on certain topics in order to avoid provoking his anger, displaying a concerning dynamic within the administration.
“It’s like, ‘You can’t include that, that will set him off,’ or ‘Put that in, he likes that,’”a senior administration official told Politico, referring to how some of the 81-year-old president’s aides feel they have to walk through a minefield before briefings to avoid him getting angry with them. “It’s a Rorschach test, not a briefing,” the source added. “Because he is not a pleasant person to be around when he’s being briefed. It’s very difficult, and people are scared s—less of him.”
