Former President Donald Trump visited a construction site in downtown Manhattan before heading into court for to resume his ‘hush money’ trial on Thursday, where he was met with throngs of supporters before dropping a huge bombshell during an interview with Fox News.
Trump, citing a survey, said that he planned to make a play to win New York as anger and resentment towards the Democratic state apparatuses prosecuting him begins to rise. “We’re going to run very hard in New York. We have a good chance of winning New York, in my opinion. We’re going to give it a shot,” Trump said. “We’re very close in New York. I understand. We’re leading in the country by a lot. As you saw yesterday, we’re up by a lot in every swing state. So I think we’re going to do very well.”
“Normally, a Democrat would win New York. Biden is the worst president in history, and we have some very bad people here, but we have the greatest people, and they’re right behind me. “We’re gonna run very hard in New York. We have a good chance of winning New York, in my opinion, but we’re gonna give it a shot,” Trump said.
He also blasted his likely Democratic rival, President Biden, for a number of things but especially the rising protests on Ivy League campuses such as Columbia University in New York City where groups are terrorizing Jewish students and spewing anti-Semitic remarks while they blame Israel for defending itself against Hamas terrorists who attacked Oct. 7.
“What is going on at the college level in the colleges — Columbia, NYU, and others — is a disgrace and it is really on Biden. He has the wrong signal and the wrong tone and the wrong words. He doesn’t know who he is backing and it’s a mess,” he said.
“If this were me you’d be after me so much but they’re trying to give him a pass. What’s going on is a disgrace to our country. And it is all Biden’s fault and everybody knows it. He has no message. He has no compassion. He doesn’t know what he is doing. He can’t put two sentences together, frankly,” Trump continued.
“He is the the worst president in the history of our country and again, what is going on is a disgrace. It’s interesting outside where great Americans, people that want to come down and protest at the court, and they want to protest peacefully. We have more police presence here than anyone has seen. For blocks you can’t get near the courthouse and yet there’s nobody up at the college where you have radical people trying to rip the colleges and universities down. That’s a shame,” he added.
“It all starts with Joe Biden. The signals he puts out are so bad. And I can tell you he is no friend of Israel, that’s for sure. He is no friend of the Arab world, either. You take a look at what he said. He is no friend of — he doesn’t know what to do. He doesn’t know what to do. He wants to take like a middle ground. Oftentimes, that doesn’t work, but it is certainly not working here. But what he has done to Israel is abandon them, and he is trying to be as nice as he can to the other side. Call it the Arab world, but that’s not working, either. Because they get him. He is an incompetent man. Peace will never happen with a guy like this,” he said.
