“I hope she took a little piece of humble pie today because that’s what was served to her, just a little, but we’ll be serving a lot more of that in the next couple of years,” Alina Habba told Fox News host Jesse Watters during a show segment.
In February, Judge Arthur Engoron delivered a verdict stating that former President Trump and executives of the Trump Organization engaged in fraud by exaggerating the worth of their assets to secure better terms from lenders and insurers.
This ruling mandates Trump to pay a penalty totaling around $454 million, which includes accrued interest. The lawsuit, initiated by James, initially pursued damages of $250 million, but later raised the claim to $370 million, in addition to interest.
Trump requested a bond of $464 million to cover both his fines and the disgorgement for his sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., who were also co-defendants in the case. Disgorgement, as noted by Newsweek, requires individuals who have profited from illegal or wrongful actions to surrender any gains resulting from those activities.
A bonding company out of Florida backed by a billionaire agreed to guarantee Trump’s $175 million bond after the former president put up the money, but now James is questioning the guarantor, reports said over the weekend.
“I’ll post either the $175 million in cash or bonds or securities or whatever is necessary, very quickly,” Trump told reporters after the appeals ruling.https://twitter.com/JesseBWatters/status/1772439577854189816

Now, Walton has had an ethics complaint filed against him by Mike Davis, founder of the Article III Project.
“We are seeing a dangerous pattern in which DC federal judges, like … Reggie Walton have convinced themselves they have a duty–unbounded by the judicial canons–to make extrajudicial pronouncements about President Trump,” his 13-page accusation includes.
