Jordan Neely had a wrap sheet longer than about 12 Twix bars before he passed away and now his uncle just got arrested. Ironically, Jordan Neely’s uncle recently said Daniel Penny, the man who put Jordan Neely in a choke hold, does not deserve a plea deal in court. Then Jordan Neely’s uncle got himself arrested for pick-pocketing according to reports on this breaking news story.
The uncle, Christopher Neely, 44, seemed to be helping the family of Jordan Neely, almost acting like a representative for them during this trivial time in their lives. That didn’t hide the fact that Uncle Christopher Neely was allegedly wanted for a string of crimes according to sources.
The report on the NY Post suggests Jordan Neely’s uncle faces at least four charges:
But Neely was also allegedly wanted for a pattern of grand larceny, including the handbag thefts, according to the sources.
A member of the NYPD’s pickpocket team spotted Neely, of Hamilton Heights, at about 11 p.m. Monday near the Manhattan bus station.
He allegedly took off when the officer approached him — and fought back when cops caught up to him after a brief chase, the sources said.
Eventually, authorities cuffed him and charged him with criminal possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, bail jumping and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Seems like this family may have their hands full with criminal prosecutions of the uncle to go along with watching what happens to Daniel Penny, the man who Uncle Christopher says did not deserve a plea deal. Many might wonder if Jordan Neely’s arrested uncle will change his mind on plea deals now that he might need one himself.
