A Republican lawmaker has filed a resolution in the House of Representatives seeking to kick Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) out of the chamber for repeatedly lying about alleged “collusion” between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia.

For years, Schiff claimed he had “evidence” to prove the allegation, but he never produced any because, as it turns out, he never had any.

Special counsel John Durham’s report, which was released earlier this week, made clear that the FBI and Justice Department under then-President Barack Obama had literally no evidence to indicate then-GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump was in cahoots with the Kremlin to steal the election from Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

In fact, Durham’s report makes it clear that Clinton’s campaign devised the lie and then Obama’s FBI ran with it. All the while, Schiff went from cable news show to cable news show claiming that Trump was in the pocket of Vladimir Putin.

Now that the lie has been exposed, Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida wants him removed from the House.

“Adam Schiff lied to the American people,” Luna said as she introduced her resolution on Wednesday. “He used his position on House Intelligence to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as Chairman.

“He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives. The Durham Report makes clear that the Russian Collusion was a lie from day one and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country,” she noted further.

In response, Schiff tried to claim he was doing his duty.

Schiff tweeted: “BREAKING NEWS: A MAGA Republican Member of Congress just filed a motion to expel me from the U.S. House of Representatives. I stood up to Donald Trump and held extreme MAGA forces accountable. Now they want payback. They’ll go after anyone who defends the rule of law.”

But again, the Durham report makes clear that his claims Trump and Vladimir Putin were working together was a lie.

On Tuesday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) also hinted that Schiff should be removed.

“It raises the question about Adam Schiff,” McCarthy said. “Remember when Adam told the American public he had proof? Remember when he said he didn’t know the whistleblower?

“What he put America through when he openly lied to us,” McCarthy said. “It raises questions about his character and whether he should be in Congress.”

“Durham revealed that, just weeks before the presidential election, former President Barack Obama, then-Vice President Joe Biden, and the heads of the CIA, Justice Department, and FBI were all briefed on Clinton’s plan to smear Trump with the Russia Hoax in August 2016,” Slay News reported this week.

“Despite knowing it was a hoax, those same top officials pursued and spread the false claims.”
