Another Hollywood star and lifelong Californian bails on state over rising crime and chaos: ‘Not a safe place’

Another day, another Hollywood star has decided to pack up and leave the crime-ridden, filthy, homeless encampment known as California.

And, of course, the state’s uber-left-wing Democrat politics.

Actor Scott Baio, 62, who has resided in Los Angeles for a long time, recently announced on Twitter that he is leaving California due to concerns about its left-wing politics, high crime rates, widespread homelessness, rampant lawlessness, and bleak future. Baio’s decision mirrors that of many others who are fed up with the state’s issues and fear it is descending into a self-made quagmire.

“After 45 years, I’m making my way to finally ‘exit stage right’ from California,” Baio, star of “Happy Days,” “Joni Loves Chachi,” and other projects, noted.

He also quoted a news report that said:

“The most recent survey conducted by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority found approximately 69,000 people experiencing homelessness in L.A. County and 41,000 in the city in 2022.”

Someone tweeted back, “Why not stay and help?”

Baio responded: “It’s like rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic!”

He also said, in the context of homelessness in LA, “This brings down property value. Also no consequences for crime that is rampant, making things higher in price and it’s just not a safe place anymore. #ImFree”

Baio is far from the only Hollywood personality to leave California as things get worse and worse.

Actor Mark Wahlberg left for the sake of his family as well, saying why he moved them to neighboring Nevada: “It’s really giving the kids a chance to thrive.” He elaborated: “It just has the best of both worlds. I know a lot of people, when they think Las Vegas, they think the Strip. But just about 15, 20 minutes away, there’s a whole lot of other amazing areas that are all about family and community.”

Similarly, hit podcast host Joe Rogan said that he left California for Texas so that he could have more freedom, saying, “I just want to go somewhere in the center of the country, somewhere it’s easier to travel to both places, and somewhere we have a little bit more freedom.”

Is Pam Bondi doing a good job?*
