When Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced that he was going to run against President Joe Biden for the Democratic Party’s 2024 nomination, the White House and the gurus at the Democratic National Committee didn’t really think much of it.

RFK is a ‘vaccine denier,’ you see, and he has ‘crackpot ideas’ about how they can lead to increased incidents of autism.

We don’t really know much about such claims — several studies appear to have debunked them — but none of that really matters, other than the fact that establishment Dems will try to use that against the latest Kennedy to make a presidential run.

That is, if they get a chance.

No one in the Biden administration or DNC establishment thought RFK Jr. would present much of a threat, but it turns out he’s polling much better than anyone believed possible. Last count he was at around 19 percent, up from 14 percent right after he declared.

As such, the DNC has decided that the last thing they need is to expose their establishment choice — that would be Biden — to a debate against RFK Jr., so as of now, the party won’t sanction any: The Democratic National Committee is telling America to pound sand and will refuse to hold debates for its presidential primary despite Robert F. Kennedy Jr polling at 19% and Marianne Williamson polling at around 9%.

A DNC insider, Symone Sanders, said today: “The Democratic National Committee will not facilitate a primary process. There will be no debate stage for Robert Kennedy Jr, Marianne Williamson, or anyone else.

“Robert F. Kennedy Jr is polling at 19% and he’s running as a Democrat for President. I explain why this is laughable + what the reality of the situation is (Spoiler alert, no Dem primary),” she added in a tweet highlighting an appearance on MSNBC.

Liberal journalist Glenn Greenwald, a huge free speech advocate, added:

“The open, explicit contempt the Dem Party has for every voter who isn’t blindly loyal to them is amazing to see. This contempt is most often directed at the party’s disaffected ‘progressive’ wing, because they know – thanks to Bernie and AOC – they have them on total lockdown,” he wrote on Twitter.

RFK Jr. himself said: “The DNC, at this point, has taken the official position that there will be no debate, and I think that’s unfortunate.”

And Williamson summed it up best: “The DNC ‘plans no primary debates.’ As though there simply ARE no other candidates … no other ideas we should discuss about ways to win in 2024, or other ideas we should discuss about ways to repair the country. Too many people are too smart to accept this.”

‘Too many people are too smart to accept this.’ Well, we’ll see about that.

Is Joe Biden unfit for the job?*
