Sen. Rand Paul suffered another stroke of bad luck after his Bowling Green, Ky., office went up in flames.

On Friday, an early morning fire ravaged a commercial building located in downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky, where an office operated by the Kentucky Republican was housed.
The Bowling Green Daily News was the first to report on the fire, which caused significant damage to the structure. The building also accommodated a local law firm and a retail store.
According to a spokesperson from the Bowling Green Fire Department, emergency personnel swiftly responded to the fire incident at 1:45 a.m. on Friday. Firefighters from six units responded, with some having to trim tree limbs, allowing them to hose down second-story office windows.
Additionally, aerials on firetrucks were operated to battle the flames from above, the Washington Times reported.
Throughout the morning, a total of nine units collaborated to contain and extinguish the flames.
The fire caused extensive damage to the structure, resulting in the roof collapsing. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, as confirmed by the spokesperson.
Currently, authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the origin of the fire.
Paul said in a statement that he was grateful for the first responders who worked to quell the fire. He added that his office is working with authorities to determine the cause of the fire and assess damages.
“We have a very well-established emergency management plan and have the ability to continue operations that will not impact our work helping Kentuckians,” he said.
