MSNBC or MS NOW – whatever you want to call them these days… if there’s one thing we learned, it’s that you can change the name of fecal matter and it will always stink. And once again, the fake news leftwing media is issuing a groveling apology on something they appear to have made up out of thin air.
MSNow correspondent Ken Dilanian went on national television Wednesday morning and told the world that FBI Director Kash Patel had landed in Russia. There was just one small problem: Patel was in Lynchburg, Virginia, about 4,600 miles in the wrong direction.
MS Now claims to have FBI sources, but do they really? Or are they just looking things up on Google or ChatGPT and seeing what it comes up with?
It took MS Now all of two hours and ten minutes to figure that out. The FBI wasn’t nearly that patient. Shortly after Dilanian’s initial report hit the air at 11:44 a.m. ET, the bureau fired back and said his sources clearly knew “NOTHING!” Hard to argue with that.
The whole embarrassing episode started when host Peter Alexander broke into his show to breathlessly announce the big scoop. “MS NOW has learned that Patel has landed in Russia for a meeting scheduled to take place there,” Alexander declared. “That’s according to two people familiar with the matter.” Two people who were apparently not familiar with Liberty University or basic geography.
Dilanian then hopped on to add some color to the fake story. We don’t know what Kash Patel’s doing in Russia, and that’s one of the things concerning our FBI sources,” he said. Those sources, it turns out, also didn’t know what Patel was doing in Virginia, which is where he actually was.
First of all, why would it be concerning if the head of the FBI was in Russia? What if they’re arresting a major criminal? That’s concerning? No. It’s not. Now that we find out Kash Patel wasn’t anywhere close to Russia, it sure makes MS Now look even dumber than ever.
But that’s normal for them, they really do have the worst people in the media and half of their women look like men. And their real men are out there making up stories about Kash Patel being in another country when he’s right around the corner in Virginia. Great stuff, really. No wonder Americans don’t trust the media anymore.
Let’s continue… by 1:54 p.m. ET, Dilanian was back on the air with Alicia Menendez to clean up the mess. “I want to correct reporting from earlier today,” he said. I reported that two sources had told us that FBI Director Kash Patel had landed in Russia for a planned trip that had been reported about recently. We’ve since learned that Patel did not, in fact, land in Russia today and remains in the U.S.” You don’t say. Sources? Laughable.
He kept going, explaining that Ken Dilanian Russia report correction came after the FBI refused to answer MSNBC’s questions and after some Democratic lawmakers had already been wringing their hands urging Patel to cancel the alleged meeting. “The timing of any potential trip remains unclear,” Dilanian added, doing his best to keep a little mystery alive after torching his credibility, but it’s too late. This guy has zero credibility.
If the FBI does not respond to your question, then you cannot say that Kash Patel is in Russia. That’s called fake news, literally. You confirm the information before you print it, unless you’re propaganda and like to push lies with a little “oops” afterwards.
He closed with the standard media mea culpa package: “Again, we regret this error, and we are transparent about when we make errors.” Transparent is one word for it. “Caught” is another. And I can tell you now that no one regrets this more than the viewer who was just lied to.
Patel, meanwhile, was at Liberty University in Lynchburg doing whatever FBI directors do at Liberty University, blissfully unaware he was supposedly meeting with Russians thousands of miles away. The FBI’s response of “NOTHING!” pretty much covered it.
Dilanian and MSNBC or MS Now will no doubt move on to the next breathless exclusive, because in cable news there’s always another scoop just around the corner, accurate or not. Kash Patel, for his part, at least now knows where Russia is, even if the leftist reporters think it’s in Virginia.
When you get tired of listening to the nonsense, then turn it off and follow us. See you in the comments.
