Former President Donald Trump opened up about a letter departing President Barack Obama left him in the Oval Office on his way out of the White House after his two terms.
It is customary for departing presidents to leave notes for their successors, and it was no different in the case of Obama and Trump.
But in an interview with Fox News host Mark Levin, Trump denounced the letter’s sentiments as “fake” in light of all he believes Obama and Obama’s administration did to undermine and de-legitimize him.
Despite calling Obama’s departing letter to him “beautiful” and “well-written,” Trump criticized his predecessor for allegedly spying on his campaign and overseeing the creation of a “fake dossier” that claimed the presidential candidate conspired with Russia to win the White House.
Former CIA Director John Brennan, a vocal critic of Trump, has previously acknowledged that President Obama was briefed on efforts by Clinton campaign advisors to “vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by Russian security services.”
“They created a fake dossier. The dossier was a fake about Trump in Moscow with hookers and everything. It was a fake. It was all made up. And Steele. All made up. It was paid for by the Democrat Party and crooked Hillary Clinton. The whole thing was a fake. They spied on my campaign, how about if we spied on their campaign?” asked Trump.

Trump acknowledged that he had a good relationship with President Obama during the transition period but pointed out that he “felt so differently about things” than his predecessor did.
“In Europe, they loved him because he allowed Europe to rip us off. They said they like him better in Germany. They should like him better in Germany because I didn’t allow Germany to get away with what they were doing,” Trump added.
Throughout his presidency, Trump faced accusations of deceit and cover-up regarding Russia and Ukraine, particularly after Democrats initiated an impeachment effort against him.
The charges were related to allegations that he had directed the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to uncover damaging information about Hunter Biden’s business dealings, while Joe Biden was preparing to challenge Trump in the 2020 election.
