Clinton Insider Just Admitted What Conservatives Have Been Saying for Years About What Dems Are Turning Into

When a former Hillary Clinton advisor starts using the word “communist” to describe members of his own party, conservatives should feel something close to vindication. Not surprise — never surprise. Vindication.

Al Mottur — Clinton bundler, Democratic operative, card-carrying member of the establishment that spent years dismissing conservative warnings about the DSA as paranoid fever dreams — went on camera this week and said the quiet part loud: “These people, they’re not crazy, they’re ideologues. They don’t love America, let me say that. A lot of these people do not love America.”

Former Hillary Clinton advisor and bundler Al Mottur slams the socialist takeover of the Democrat party:

“They don’t love America…if we have people in our party who are so far left that they are saying we don’t want to protect people from crime, well that’s just absurd.” pic.twitter.com/kcK2oOwGMG

“I’m not team Democrat, I’m team America. And if we have people in our party who are so far Left, that they are saying we don’t want to protect people from crime, well, that’s just absurd. And, by the way, we’re not going to win a national election, let alone an election in Michigan, if that’s our position,” he added.

He’s right. He’s just about a decade late.

Mottur’s concern is practical as much as patriotic. A party that opposes protecting people from crime, he argues, cannot win a national election. It can’t win Michigan. It can’t win the Senate. It can’t win anything that requires persuading voters who care about their safety, their neighborhoods, and whether the government that takes their taxes is actually on their side.

Also correct. Also not a new observation for anyone outside the Democratic donor class.

Here’s what Mottur still won’t say out loud, and what conservatives need to say for him: the DSA didn’t sneak into the Democratic Party through a back door. It was invited in. Welcomed in. Celebrated in. The same establishment figures now wringing their hands about socialist takeover spent years accommodating, platforming, and in many cases funding the movement that produced AOC, Mamdani, and a House progressive caucus that just published a resolution calling for packing the Supreme Court and killing the filibuster.

The DSA isn’t a parasite. It’s the logical endpoint of choices the Democratic mainstream made freely over a generation — moving left on crime, left on borders, left on capitalism, left on America itself, always chasing the activist energy that turned out to be a tiger they couldn’t ride.
And now the tiger is driving.

The DSA’s own documents make their end goal explicit: full communism. Not democratic socialism. Not Scandinavian-style welfare capitalism. Communism. They say so openly on their own website. Candidates who won Democratic primaries this cycle self-identified as communists in speeches and on social media. They’re not hiding it. The Democratic establishment is the only party that seems surprised by any of this — which tells you everything about how thoroughly they lost control of the institution they thought they ran.

Mottur says he’s “team America, not team Democrat.” Fine. Then he needs to do more than give alarmed interviews on conservative-friendly media. He needs to spend his considerable resources backing candidates who will actually fight the DSA rather than accommodate it, and he needs to say publicly what everyone in his world says privately: the people running Democratic primaries right now would be more comfortable in Havana than in Harrisburg.

The DSA says out loud what Democrats think. Mottur just confirmed it.

Conservatives have been saying so for years. Welcome to the conversation, Al.
