It says everything about who they are and nothing about who he was. History will sort out which side it remembers kindly.
What the record already shows is this: Lindsey Graham died as he lived. He came back from Ukraine on Friday. He called the President on Saturday evening to push for election integrity legislation he had co-sponsored. He went to sleep and never woke up. There was no winding down, no retreat, no coasting through his final term. He was working.
For a man who spent thirty years in the Senate and three decades in uniform before that, there are worse legacies than dying with your boots on — still fighting for the country you served.
