DeSantis Teams Up With Trump’s DHS For Massive Migrant Sweep

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, once a rival to Donald Trump, has become a fabulous ally. And nowhere is this more evident than in Trump’s effort to mass deport people who are not in America legally.

DeSantis, whose second term is up in January, has been using the past four years to make Florida as permanently red as possible. That has included warring with the Biden regime while frequently partnering with the Trump administration, especially on immigration.

In fact, Florida is currently wrapping up its latest immigration enforcement op with Trump’s DHS, and the effort in the president’s home state has been significant, resulting in 249 arrests over three days:

The operation, known as “Operation 9,” highlighted growing cooperation between Florida authorities and federal immigration officials as the state continues to expand its role in immigration enforcement.

According to Fox News Digital, officers with the Florida Highway Patrol partnered with agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Border Patrol, and several other law enforcement agencies during the operation.

Those taken into custody were processed and later transferred to ICE.

Officials said many of those arrested had little or no documentation identifying who they were.

“We have no records for them, no accountability of who they are,” Lt. Ramin Sulaiman, assistant commander of the Florida Highway Patrol Immigration Enforcement Section, told Fox News Digital.

Sulaiman said Florida has seen a significant influx of migrants since the Biden administration began releasing many migrants into the country after they crossed the southern border.

“More than 1 million immigrants who entered the United States illegally during the Biden administration told authorities at the border that they were headed to Florida,” Sulaiman said.

“But that does not include all the ghosts, meaning the people that have no encounters [with law enforcement],” he added. “They’re just here.”

According to Dave Kerner, executive director of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, nearly 10,500 people in the U.S. illegally have been apprehended in Florida since March 2025. That is an astounding number, but it shows what’s possible when actual enforcement is done.

Democrats love to say our immigration system is “broken.” No, it isn’t. The laws are on the books. Biden – or, more accurately, the unknown Obama bros who were actually running his regime – simply chose not to enforce them. And when you understand the objective of Democrats is to break our system and destroy our institutions, then allowing a four-year invasion from the third world makes sense.

Thank goodness we still have enough leaders like Trump and DeSantis who not only want America to survive, but to thrive. But we can’t allow the current version of the Democrat Party to ever be in charge again. Or we won’t survive.
