Byron Donalds walked straight into a crowd of protesters on Friday, said the word “sir” exactly once, and sent the entire left into a full meltdown. The Florida Republican gubernatorial candidate and sitting congressman didn’t flinch, didn’t apologize, and didn’t change course. Just a man, doing math and following the biology. Maybe he said sir again, but such is life.
When Donalds addressed a transgender protester with “sir,” the protester immediately snapped back, “I’m not a sir, I’m a ma’am!” Did Donalds crumble? Did he issue a tearful apology and beg for forgiveness from the Twitter mob? He did not. He simply said, “I’m listening to the voice in my ears,” and kept right on talking about his congressional record on releasing government files. Cool as a cucumber. Absolutely unbothered.
That’s when a bystander apparently decided the situation needed more screaming. Calling her ‘sir’?! What the f, – is wrong with you?” Then, just to make sure everyone heard, followed it up with “What the f, – is wrong with you, you piece of s, -!”
So to recap: Byron Donalds spoke calmly about his record in Congress. Liberals screamed profanities in a public street. And we’re supposed to believe conservatives are the unhinged ones.
This is exactly what it looks like when someone simply refuses to play along with the game. The entire liberal protest strategy depends on Republicans caving the moment someone raises their voice. Donalds just showed what happens when you don’t. Spoiler: they raise their voice more. Revolutionary strategy, really.
Donalds is running for governor of Florida, and if this clip is any preview of how he handles pressure, Florida Republicans have a lot to feel good about. The man stood in the middle of a screaming crowd and basically shrugged. That’s a skill set.
The left is going to have a very long election season if this is how they react to someone using correct biology and basic pronouns from the English language. Byron Donalds said “sir” and walked away. They’re probably still screaming.
