The FBI under Director Kash Patel has managed to score another big win for the country by busting up an attack with potentially horrific results.
Federal authorities say they disrupted a potential ISIS-inspired terrorist attack after arresting a 21-year-old Pennsylvania man who allegedly obtained a semiautomatic rifle and nearly 200 rounds of ammunition while preparing for what he called his “mission.”
Jonathan Hunter Kramer, of Valencia, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody over the weekend after FBI agents tracked him to a hotel in Cranberry Township, according to the Justice Department. Kramer has been charged by federal criminal complaint with receiving a firearm and ammunition while knowing or having reason to believe they would be used to commit a felony or federal crime of terrorism, including providing material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization.
Investigators allege Kramer used the online name “Hamza Al Rashid,” claimed an affiliation with ISIS and offered to provide explosives manuals to others. According to the federal complaint, Kramer also discussed preparing for his “mission” and said the main thing he was still missing was a “weapon.”

The latest investigation began in March, shortly after Kramer was released from a Pennsylvania juvenile detention facility. The FBI received an anonymous tip claiming Kramer had resumed troubling behavior, including ordering mysterious packages and communicating with people connected to his previous activities.
Authorities said Kramer had previously come to law enforcement’s attention in 2023, when he was adjudicated delinquent as a juvenile in connection with an alleged plot to carry out a mass-casualty attack. Federal officials said the earlier case also involved possession of child sexual abuse material. Agents monitoring Kramer said they watched him leave his home on Sept. 12 carrying a bag before traveling by rideshare to a retail store, where he purchased a disposable cellphone.

Investigators then observed Kramer meeting another person in a parking lot and obtaining a long black bag from a vehicle. He later traveled to a Cranberry Township hotel and paid cash for a room. Authorities said Kramer subsequently visited a sporting goods store and was seen at the firearms counter. When Kramer returned to the hotel, FBI agents approached him while he was carrying bags containing three 30-round rifle magazines and five boxes of ammunition.
Search warrants were then executed on Kramer, his hotel room and his residence. Federal agents said they recovered a semiautomatic rifle, five rifle magazines, 190 rounds of ammunition, a rifle scope and bipod, pepper spray, an entrenchment tool and approximately 30 knives, among other items.
Assistant Attorney General for National Security John Eisenberg said Kramer appeared to be moving toward carrying out a mass shooting and that his alleged ISIS sympathies demonstrated the potential seriousness of the threat. Authorities have not publicly identified a specific target for the alleged attack.
Kramer made an initial court appearance Monday and waived a detention hearing. Prosecutors have asked that he remain jailed without bond while the case proceeds.
