Crossfire Hurricane was the FBI operation that invented a Trump-Russia scandal that didn’t exist. Operation Round River was its mirror image — the FBI operation that buried a Biden-Ukraine scandal that did. Two code names. One consistent purpose: protect Democrats, destroy Republicans – and Donald Trump, in particular.
Newly declassified ODNI documents reveal that the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force-Russia, one month after taking possession of Hunter Biden’s laptop in December 2019, “unofficially formed a group of analysts” to gather all derogatory information reported by confidential human sources on Joseph Biden, corruption, and Ukraine-related topics — including Burisma and Hunter Biden — and then systematically red-flag it all as Russian disinformation.
Read that carefully. The FBI had Hunter Biden’s laptop. Its agents knew the laptop was authentic — text messages show one agent saying he couldn’t understand how anyone could conclude the laptop was Russian disinformation. And simultaneously, a separate FBI group was building an operation whose entire premise was that all Biden-Ukraine corruption information was Russian disinformation.

The operation’s reach extended directly into Congress. The ODNI documents confirm the Foreign Influence Task Force provided “defensive briefings” to congressional members who obtained reporting related to any aspect of the Ukraine narrative — and then leaked those briefings to the media. The people the FBI briefed, framing the investigation as Russian-influenced: Senators Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley, whose names appeared sixth and seventh on the FBI’s “conduit” list. Jim Jordan was eighth.

The Hunter Biden laptop had been in FBI possession for a year when Twitter and Facebook suppressed the New York Post story. Fifty-one intelligence officials called it Russian disinformation. The media ran with the “Russian disinformation” label through the election. And all of it was built on a foundation the FBI had internally demolished the moment they plugged in the hard drive.
Now there’s an additional revelation floating around classified channels: Paul Sperry reports that FBI headquarters is inexplicably withholding a 400-page OPR report, plus roughly 7,000 pages of supporting documents, investigating the Crossfire Hurricane probe — a report that apparently implicates CIA Director John Brennan and the Five Eyes intelligence alliance in the 2016 operation against Trump. (“Five Eyes” refers to the intelligence apparatuses of the U.S., Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.)
The FBI worked with Silicon Valley to censor information that contradicted Democratic Party interests. It opened criminal investigations of a sitting president for firing its director. It built a counter-intelligence operation designed to label Biden corruption evidence as enemy propaganda. And it briefed Republican senators investigating that corruption as Russian stooges — then leaked those briefings.
This is not a bureau that lost its way. This is a bureau that chose a side.
The declassifications continue. The operations keep surfacing. The institutions they were supposed to protect keep looking worse with every document that comes out. But again, maybe that’s the point: The left knows that in order to destroy our Constitution, they have to destroy our institutions first. Attack the constitutionalist Supreme Court as illegitimate. Politicize our justice system and law enforcement. Cast one of our major parties as a conduit of foreign influence.
It should obvious to anyone who’s being fair-minded at this point that the most dangerous enemy of America isn’t Iran or China, per se, it’s the Democratic Party.
