Democrats Accused Republicans of a One-Sided Fauci Investigation, But Not One of Them Looked At the Evidence

The audacity required to pull this off is genuinely staggering.

But it’s also completely on brand for the party that spent four years demanding blind deference to Anthony Fauci while Americans were dying alone in hospitals and saying goodbye to loved ones through Post-It notes on windows.

Rand Paul built the most transparent congressional investigation in modern history. He created a dedicated website. He published the documents. He organized the evidence. He gave Democratic committee members full access — including an explicit access code to review everything Republicans had compiled. All they had to do was log on.

Not one Democrat did.

Not one. Zero. In the most consequential public health investigation in decades — involving gain-of-function research, COVID origins, mask mandates, school closures, a pulmonary infarction Fauci privately suffered and publicly concealed, a diary revealing a man more obsessed with his own celebrity than with the lives his decisions were destroying — not a single Democratic senator on the committee bothered to review the evidence Republicans compiled and made available to them.

Then Senator Gary Peters — the ranking Democrat — stood up at the hearing and accused Rand Paul of conducting “a one-sided investigation” that withheld documents from Democrats.

Paul’s response was perfect and devastating: “We actually created a website, and we put all of the information on the website. The reason it hasn’t been accessed is no Democrat ever signed up for it. Not one Democrat. We told them the access. They never asked for the access code.”

They never asked. They never looked. And then they accused Republicans of hiding things.

This is the Democratic Party’s relationship with the Fauci scandal in miniature. They don’t want to know what happened. They have never wanted to know. For years they demanded Americans treat Fauci’s word as the voice of science itself — attacking, censoring, and destroying the reputations of doctors, researchers, and ordinary citizens who asked even the most basic questions. They called the lab leak theory a conspiracy theory while intelligence agencies were quietly concluding the opposite. They dismissed concerns about mask efficacy while Fauci himself privately acknowledged the evidence was thin. They defended school closures that damaged an entire generation of children while Fauci’s own emails told a different story.

And now, with the evidence compiled and published and sitting on a website with a login code they were explicitly given — they chose not to look. Because looking would mean acknowledging. And acknowledging would mean accountability. Not just for Fauci, but for every Democratic senator, every Democratic governor, every Democratic mayor, and every Democratic commentator who spent four years telling Americans to stop asking questions and just trust the process.

The Democrats didn’t access the Fauci evidence. But their fingerprints are all over the scandal.

They just don’t want anyone to notice.
