One Year Later — The One Big Beautiful Bill Is Doing Exactly What the Left Said It Couldn’t

They said the tax cuts wouldn’t work. They said manufacturing jobs weren’t coming back. They said America First economics was a fantasy cooked up by people who didn’t understand how the global economy actually operated.

One year after President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill into law, the National Association of Manufacturers just published the receipts. The left is going to want to look away. They should be forced to look directly at every number.

Six million American manufacturing jobs supported. $540 billion in wages saved for working Americans. $1.1 trillion added to GDP. Every single provision the NAM advocated for — all ten of them — made it into the final bill. Congress didn’t just protect the tax framework manufacturers needed. They added new provisions on top of it.

This is what a pro-growth, pro-worker, pro-America economic policy actually looks like when it’s executed by people who believe in it rather than people who spend their careers explaining why it can’t be done.

The NAM report documents what’s happening on the ground in all 50 states — not abstractions, not projections, not economic models built by think tank economists who have never run a payroll. Real companies. Real expansions. Real jobs.

Winton Machine Company in Suwanee, Georgia. Thirty-eight employees. A small manufacturer that most people in Washington have never heard of and will never mention in a speech. The One Big Beautiful Bill let them reinvest in their operations, innovate in their industry, and plan for the future. CEO Lisa Winton said it plainly: “Our ability to reinvest drives job creation, advances new technologies and supports our communities.”

Martin Sustainable Resources in Louisiana used the tax cuts, credits, and incentives to expand facilities, upgrade equipment, and make long-term investments that a family-owned company roots itself in for generations. Full expensing for facilities and equipment. Estate tax relief that keeps the business in the family instead of forcing a sale to pay the government. CEO E. Scott Poole called it what it is: fuel for modernization.

This is what the left never understood — or refused to understand — about the economic philosophy they spent years mocking. When you let businesses keep more of what they earn and give them certainty about the tax code going forward, they invest. They hire. They build. They expand. Not because they’re feeling generous or patriotic, but because the math finally works. Remove the uncertainty, remove the punishing tax structure, remove the regulatory weight that makes every expansion feel like a gamble — and American businesses do what American businesses have always done when given the chance.

They make things.

The experts said manufacturing jobs were never coming back. Toyota just committed $3.6 billion to Texas. TSMC just committed $265 billion to Arizona. 3.5 million new businesses opened in the first half of 2026. And the NAM just documented $1.1 trillion in GDP contribution from manufacturing alone.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. And wrong.

The One Big Beautiful Bill is working. One year in, the numbers prove it beyond serious argument.

The only question left is whether Republicans will spend the next four months making sure every working American knows it.
