That’s what the President of the United States said Monday while meeting with the Iraqi Prime Minister, previewing a primetime address to the nation scheduled for Thursday. “Really, really big news.”
Everything points to one thing: the SAVE America Act, election integrity, and possibly declassified intelligence about foreign interference in the 2020 election — all packaged into a prime-time address that will force every network in America to make a choice about whether to carry it.
Trump confirmed the address will cover election machines and integrity, along with a couple of additional items. MSNBC is already in panic mode, reporting that the speech will include newly declassified intelligence revealing a foreign nation’s plans to interfere in the 2020 presidential election. Democrats and their media allies spent four years telling America that election interference concerns were a conspiracy theory — the same people who spent 2016 through 2020 screaming about Russian interference from every rooftop they could find. Watching them try to dismiss foreign election interference evidence when it threatens their preferred narrative instead of Trump’s will be something to see.
The legislative context matters enormously. GOP leadership confirmed Sunday that Republicans will attempt to attach the SAVE America Act to the National Security-State spending bill this week. The timing is deliberate. A Thursday primetime address focused on election integrity — with what may be declassified evidence of actual foreign interference — gives the SAVE America Act the kind of political momentum that could finally break the Senate logjam that has stalled it for months.
Trump’s own framing of the stakes has been consistent and correct: “Without free and fair elections, you don’t have a country.” He’s right. And the corollary he’s been making equally clear is that the window to secure those elections before the 2026 midterms is closing. Democrats have published their plan to federalize election law in their favor the moment they take back power. The only answer to that plan is passing the SAVE America Act first.
The address may also cover Iran — with three consecutive nights of strikes against Iranian targets and a formal War Powers notification to Congress, the American people deserve a full accounting of where the conflict stands and where it’s going. Trump Accounts, the inflation numbers, and the broader economic picture may also make appearances. The President has a lot of winning to report.
But election integrity is the centerpiece. It has to be. Lindsey Graham spent his last phone call on this earth pushing for the SAVE America Act. Democrats have openly announced they will destroy the filibuster and rig the electoral system the moment they get the chance. And the President of the United States is about to go on national television and make the case for why none of that can be allowed to happen.
