Gavin Newsom Wants to Be President But He Keeps Proving He Hates Working-Class Americans

California Gov. Gavin Newsom hasn’t done his state any favors while he’s been in charge. Of course, California has been (badly) managed by Democrats for decades, so we can’t blame him for all of the state’s problems. But he created his fair share of them while living in Sacramento, that’s for sure. And when he leaves office in January, he’ll leave behind a record of failure at nearly every level.

Fourth-largest economy in the world? Sure, that’s true. But:

Housing and Cost of Living: California has some of the highest home values and rents in the nation. Severe shortages and high demand make it one of the most expensive states to live in globally, forcing a steady out-migration of middle-income households and families.

Homelessness: The state accounts for a disproportionate share of the nation’s unhoused population. High housing costs, systemic mental health challenges, and fragmented funding have made this one of the state’s most visible and persistent crises.

Public Safety and Crime: Crime rates have spiked in key categories since the pandemic, with significant jumps in auto thefts and shoplifting. Public concern over retail theft and community safety remains a top-tier political issue.

Business and Economic Pressures: High taxes and energy costs, combined with a high cost of labor, have created a challenging environment for businesses, leading to stiff competition from other states attempting to lure away major employers.

Then there is the heavy regulatory burden on state residents – Democrats love them some regulations. All of this contributes to the high cost of everything in the state. Labor is so expensive because, well, everything else is. So taken collectively, it seems clear that Newsom, for all his slick talk, doesn’t care one iota for working men and women, a group that just happens to make up something like 60-65 percent of the electorate. Because if he did, he’d have been implementing policies and pushing for legislation that lowered costs in California, not raised them to the point that people had to move:

California has, by all appearances, been trying to deliberately drive away any major corporations, any business leaders, any producers, and anyone with a substantial net worth, deeming them “the wealthy.” Wealth is bad in California now, after all, unless it belongs to a certain shriveled old former Speaker of the House of Representatives or one of the coastal elites whose wealth was obtained through means that likely wouldn’t stand up to a close examination.

But it’s not enough that California has been driving away the wealthy. Now they are working on driving away the middle class, too. The latest, in the state budget, is a series of new taxes on Medicaid, ObamaCare, and private employer health plans.

You read that right. Newsom is looking to tax the bejesus out of ordinary Californians’ health care plans, as well as those who receive Medicaid (who are, by nature, low income) and even Obamacare, which is rife with fraud and abuse already.

“Gavin Newscum has done everything in his power to make life less affordable for Californians, and a $400 hike in healthcare premiums is just the latest blow to hard-working taxpayers,” White House spokesperson Allison Schuster told Caleb Howe for a Substack piece.

“While the Trump Administration is actively working on making life more affordable through the President’s tax cuts, deregulation, and no tax on tips, overtime, or Social Security, the Democrats in California continue to steal money from taxpayers and make life worse,” Schuster continued.

There’s no question about it: Newsom and his rising National Socialist Party, formerly the Democrat Party, have made, and will make, life more wildly expensive, not cheaper. It doesn’t matter what they say (they’re on the ‘affordability’ bandwagon now, ahead of the midterms). It only matters what they do. And what they do is raise the cost of everything on everyone, all while punishing the successful Americans who create wealth and jobs.

And he wants to be our next president. Pass.
