“You’re fake news.” Then-GOP nominee Donald Trump coined that phrase for the U.S. corporate media and it stuck. They are fake news. The bulk of their reporting on him and his administration, during 1.0 and now 2.0, has been atrocious. And wrong.
“Anonymous sources” replace actual human beings telling the truth. Time and again, the media have reported “bombshells” on Trump, only to have to backtrack a few days – and sometimes a few hours – later.
But they keep doing it because they are staffed by Democrat operatives posing as journalists. They are like “state media” for Democrats.
Or like the Iranian state media, whom Trump has just labeled “fake news” after government-friendly outlets there reported on “terms” of the peace deal that were good for Tehran – but, per Trump, were not actually part of the agreement:
The terms that Iran leaked out to the Fake News have NOTHING to do with the terms that were agreed to, in writing. What they said, including their weak and pathetic statement on having a deal, bears no relation to the truth. Very dishonorable people to deal with. With them, there is no such thing as dealing in good faith. AMAZING! Also, their totally rebuffed Drone attack last night against Indian Ships leaving the Hormuz Strait is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. They better get their act together, and FAST!
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported that Iran has not yet made any commitment regarding the management of the Strait of Hormuz. This statement contradicts the Trump administration’s consistent assertion that Iran will not be allowed to control the Strait:
Instead, the future administration of the Strait reportedly would be decided through dialogue and joint decision-making between Iran and Oman, a country in close proximity to the area.
IRNA also stated that discussions about the nuclear program would not begin until after the agreement was signed. Both of these positions contradict the red lines set by the Trump team:
A White House official revealed to Fox News on Friday that Iran has agreed to a “performance-based deal” that contains multiple components.
“This is what they agreed to. This is a performance-based deal,” the official said.
The official described that under the deal, Iran’s nuclear program will be dismantled and their nuclear material will be destroyed and removed.
The Strait of Hormuz will reopen, Iran will no longer fund terrorist groups and none of Tehran’s frozen assets will be released until the regime performs, the official added.
So, again, nothing at all like what the IRNA is reporting.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei did confirm that the text of a deal with the United States to end the conflict is “mostly finalized.” That’s similar to what Trump has said.

Also, U.S. Central Command noted that the Strait is already open for business.

Seems like the Democrat-aligned media in the U.S. is more like the IRNA – purveyors of regime propaganda. Trump is exactly right again.
