Democrats are good at one thing and one thing only: Political perfomances for their deranged left-wing base. They are legitimately America Last, their policy prescriptions for the country suck, and they love to use the power of the government to persecute their opponents.
To wit: Blue states that pass legislation ‘restraining ICE agents’ from doing their job. California tried that nonsense, and now Virginia has done the same thing.
Gov. Abigail Spanberger ran as a sort of Democrat moderate but once she got into office, she’s turned out to be just another party commie. She has signed ‘sweeping’ new gun control legislation including an ‘assault weapons’ ban (the Supreme Court has previously ruled ‘assault weapons’ are guns protected by the Second Amendment). And in May, she signed a pair of anti-ICE bills that essentially told the federal government “you can’t enforce federal immigration laws here the way you want to.”
One bill restricts federal officers from covering their faces while on duty and requires them to display identifying info. The other dictates conditions for how they can operate in the state.
Uh-huh.
Well, the Justice Department just told Spanberger and her merry band of Democrat commies they can pound sand because their legislation is unconstitutional:
"Governor Spanberger cannot tell Federal officers how to do their job,” said @ASGWoodward. "And she certainly cannot prohibit them from ensuring their own safety in conducting Federal law enforcement operations. Our suit today stops those unconstitutional efforts."

In short: You don’t have a say in this, Abigail. And neither do a couple of other Virginia lefties who couldn’t care less about protecting residents:
The lawsuit names Virginia Attorney General Jay Jones and left-wing Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano — who was previously backed by groups connected to George Soros.
The suit claims Virginia’s mask ban is “blatantly unconstitutional” because it attempts to regulate “what federal officers may and may not wear” while carrying out their duties, exposing agents’ identities and increasing risks to them and their families.

Here comes the DOJ lawsuit:
Not only is the law an illegal attempt to regulate the federal government, but, as alleged in the complaint, the law threatens the safety of federal officers who have faced an unprecedent wave of harassment, doxing, and even violence. Threatening officers with prosecution for simply protecting their identities and their families also chills the enforcement of federal law and compromises sensitive law enforcement operations.
Democrats are legitimate enemies of the Constitution and the republic at large. They literally prove it every single time they get power.
