You’ve probably heard this before about the party of the donkey: “This ain’t your granddaddy’s Democrat Party.” That’s 1 million percent true. It isn’t. Not even close. In fact, whereas President Trump has led a revival of Ronald Reagan’s ‘America First’ movement, the Democrats today are decidedly ‘America Last.’
And a new poll proves it.

The Elon University/YouGov America 250 National Survey polled 1,000 U.S. adults from April 30 to May 4. The findings will likely not surprise most Republicans and conservatives because they are already aware of it.
In a recent poll, 55 percent of Democrats responded “yes” to the question, “Is there any other country on Earth you would rather live in than the United States today?” Additionally, 38 percent of Independents answered yes, while only 10 percent of Republicans did the same.
Let’s look at another aspect of the poll. Abraham Lincoln came out on top as our best president, not surprising (though arguable). But Barack Obama came in second? That also makes sense when you realize the Democrats’ “I freaking hate America” attitude really started with him and his dour, sour wife, Michelle.
Remember: She used her privileged mouth (she grew up well-to-do) to proclaim that the first time she was proud of America was when her husband began winning delegates for the Democrat Party nomination in 2008.
These new “America sucks” results mirror a September 2025 Gallup poll showing that most Democrats prefer socialism to capitalism.
Of course, they haven’t had to live under socialism, but that is slowly changing. Democrat candidates are winning races in blue enclaves all over the country, running as socialists. Seattle has a socialist mayor; L.A. may get one. New York City has one. And several Democrat members of Congress are avowed left-wing socialists.
Why does that matter? Because if you love socialism, then by design, you hate America. We were founded on opportunistic capitalism, and that economic model has made us the greatest country in the history of the world. If you hate that economic model, you obviously hate the country that built it.
Therefore, you very likely to be a Democrat.
