Journal readers know that ‘Dr.’ Jill Biden is on a tour to sell her new book that we can’t think of too many people who are really interested in reading.
Yes, presidents and first ladies in the past have definitely written books. I get it. But Biden’s term was so unbelievably bad that you would think the family could read the room and just fade into the sunset.
But no. There are bills to pay, and the Bidens are master grifters, so here we are.
The tour started out bad with her claiming she was just so in the dark about her husband’s severe cognitive decline.
Her excuse was so bad even President Trump took a swipe at her.
Also, dropping the book now has also forced everyone to revisit all the questions about Democrats trying to run Joe despite his obvious issues. That’s not making some Democrats happy as the party – already unpopular – gears up for the midterms.
Dems were also unhappy with the way Jill described how it all went down – and some of their critiques were brutal:
“I think Jill Biden must have had a stroke herself to think that her husband was up to the job,” said a Democrat who worked as a senior aide in the Biden era.
“If she can sit back and listen to his constant drivel for over 4 years, she’s the one with real cognitive decline. The fake doctor may want to consider self medication if it took this long to gain some self realization,” the aide said in a jab at the first lady’s insistence on being called “Dr. Jill Biden” for her doctorate in education.
Whoa.
“No one thought he had a stroke,” another former Biden White House official told The Post. “That is in her head and her head only. This has been litigated and relitigated among staff.
“We didn’t think he had a health issue because they kept on with the schedule. Immediately to the afterparty and then to Waffle House. Who goes to Waffle House after a stroke?”
One aide, Andrew Bates, actually commented on the record:
“We had a duty to win and we didn’t,” Andrew Bates, a spokesman in the Biden administration, told The Post. “I think about that all the time. But I don’t see why that painful conversation for the party needed to be publicly reopened right now.”
That criticism didn’t sit well with the good ‘Dr.’:
Biden, 75, brushed off the criticism, noting her memoir only “had one chapter on politics” and the rest was about her four years as first lady.
“I want to say to Andrew: Call me up, and say it to my face, buddy,” she charged.
Yikes…”buddy”? Is she aware that all the aides to Cripple Joe could definitely spill some big, fat beans about his term if they were so inclined?
Well, that pushback started immediately after she shat upon Bates:

Focusing on this instead of the bleak reality Americans have been experiencing in the same time frame is exactly why we lost in 24.”

It’s understandable that Democrats would rather not have to focus on the miserably unsuccessful four-year term of Biden/Harris right now. But in reality, the party appears to have learned nothing from the 2024 loss anyway. It keeps doubling down on left-wing loony.
