Democrats may be publicly complaining about the war with Iran, but privately, my guess is, they are celebrating it.
Why? Because, according to most polling, it’s not very popular. Something like 70-75 percent of those polled in several recent surveys aren’t fans of another Mideast war.
Gas prices are up again. That means food, shelter, and every other commodity needing energy to get to market are up or, at least, not going down.
That alone should make retaking the House, at least, a cakewalk for Democrats in November, right?
Heh. Not so fast.
New polling highlighted by Florida Politics’ Eric Daugherty just gave Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) a gigantic wedgie.

So, we’ve got an unpopular war going on – what’s changed? Why are Republicans polling so much better than a month ago?
I have a couple theories.
First of all, President Trump is on the verge of wrapping this conflict up. It sounds like he’s going to get favorable terms. As in, Iran cannot ever have nukes. In fact, locally, gas prices have already fallen by a dime this week.
Secondly, voters are seeing that Democrats haven’t learned a freaking thing from their shellacking in 2024. The party is continuing to run the most left-wing, extreme, Nazi-loving, America-hating, God-insulting candidates they can find.
Every day the party reminds us they are domestic terrorists. They hate our country, hate our way of life, hate law and order. They love people in the country illegally and criminals. It’s obvious.
Also, here’s another sign that we’re not ‘done’ with Trump or America First: His candidates continue to blow away RINOs. He lost one in Iowa yesterday, but that’s the first one so far this primary season.
Throw all of this in with the GOP-favorable redistricting and it’s looking a lot like Republicans will buck the trend of losing seats when ‘our guy’ is in the White House.
After the 2030 Census, Democrats might just go the way of the Whigs. I’m all in for that.
