California Gov. Gavin Newsom proved again on Wednesday that his Domestic Terrorist Party remains the most vindictive, petty group of people on the planet.
Newsom announced Wednesday that California will impose a 100% tax—effectively confiscating every dollar—on payments residents receive from President Trump’s $1.8 billion anti-weaponization fund.
“Anyone from California that receives any of those funds, we want to tax 100% of those proceeds,” Newsom boasted during a press conference.
“That’s an action the state of California can take; it’s an action we look forward to taking,” he pledged.
California is already among the states with the highest taxation. The Democrat super-majority that has run the state into the ground is trying to salvage its budget by targeting millionaires and billionaires.
Now here comes chief grifter Newsom, promising to steal compensation from residents who were abused by Joe Biden’s Justice Department.
While Trump works to unwind years of politically motivated prosecutions and government weaponization, Newsom is being accused of openly siding with the same political machine that targeted conservatives during the Biden years.
Newsom’s rhetoric sends a clear message: Democrats remain more interested in protecting entrenched bureaucracies and punishing political opponents than addressing the damage caused by years of partisan lawfare and selective enforcement.

Of course, Newsom tried to frame this despicable move as ‘standing up for law enforcement.’ Right. His is the same party who, 10 minutes ago, wanted to “defund the police.” Many still do.
Also, Newsom runs the biggest sanctuary state in the country. So please, Hair Gel, don’t lecture us about ‘law and order.’
As for the money grab, Newsom – who is auditioning to become president – should probably bone up on the Constitution. His 100% tax on settlement money sounds an awful lot like a bill of attainder – punishing a group of people with legislation without the benefit of a trial.
For his part, Trump defended the $1.8 billion weaponization fund.
“I gave up a lot of money in allowing the just announced Anti-Weaponization Fund to go forward,” he wrote on Truth Social. “I could have settled my case, including the illegal release of my Tax Returns and the equally illegal break-in of Mar-a-Lago, for an absolute fortune.”
“Instead, I am helping others, who were so badly abused by an evil, corrupt, and weaponized Biden Administration, receive, at long last, JUSTICE!”
