Because there are still too many Republicans in the Senate who are stuck in the 1970s and refuse to get rid of the filibuster rule, so the party most Americans put in charge of the government can pass more of the agenda they and Donald Trump ran on, the president is taking no chances with voter integrity issues ahead of the midterms.
Some time ago, Trump contacted the head of the Republican National Committee, Joe Gruters, and made it very clear: He wants the party to take a proactive stance to fix or resolve as many election integrity issues as possible before the earliest votes are cast.
And thankfully, the chairman has taken Trump’s request to heart. On Monday, Gruters announced the party has filed more than 130 lawsuits across 32 states to block Democrat efforts to “cheat every single day” in U.S. elections.
The announcement follows President Trump’s recent commitment to form a significantly larger “Election Integrity Army” than the one the Republicans utilized in 2024. This indicates that the GOP is gearing up for an extensive legal and grassroots effort focused on ballot security, vote counting, and election procedures in crucial battleground states:
Well, listen, the president, when he asked me to take this position, said, “We’ve got to make sure our elections are safe and secure. We have to continue to build on the success that Lara Trump and Michael Whatley built in the 2024 cycle.”
And yes, the Democrats are trying to cheat every single day. That’s why we have 130 lawsuits. We’re bringing the hammer wherever we can — in 32 states where we have lawsuits because the Democrats are trying to cheat every single day.
It doesn’t matter if it’s redistricting. It doesn’t matter if—what they’ve done is allowed tens of millions of illegals to come across our border, and they’re trying to figure out ways to get them to vote.
That’s why we’re always focused on making sure we have integrity in the system, so that we can have confidence in our democracy. And we’re putting people in place. We’ve already hired staff in 17 states, and we’re going to continue our strong litigation effort to make sure we beat back these Democrats and their efforts, which have been ongoing for decades, to try to steal elections.

Now look, this doesn’t mean that Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) should give up on whipping support to get the SAVE America Act passed even if by a simple majority. We have to have that legislation long-term in order to make it increasingly difficult if not impossible for the Domestic Terrorist Party to cheat its way back into power.
But that said, Gruters carrying out the president’s wishes in deploying the assets needed to prevent as much cheating as possible is a huge move. It doesn’t do any good to ask, ‘Why haven’t Republicans done this before?’ – because the past is past and they’re doing it now.
Democrats are on life support. The party is less popular than herpes and the flu. Their approval rating is lower than whale dung. They have nothing in terms of policies other than Trump hate and punish success by taxing the rich.
This is the time to finish the party off and vanquish it to the ash heap of history like the Whigs.
