Even though this is his last year as governor due to term limits, Ron DeSantis (R) remains a target for Florida’s Democrats. This is largely due to his effectiveness, his unapologetically conservative stance, and his commitment to the issues that matter to him and a majority of Floridians.
It’s Official: DeSantis Makes the Announcement Trump Loves
So it was not surprising that, during the lengthy session that resulted in a new congressional map—approved by lawmakers on the same day the Supreme Court issued its ruling in Louisiana v. Callais—some Democrat state lawmakers staged insane protests to argue that the map lacked fairness in representation.
Democrats Collapsing – Party Leaders Panic Over What’s Coming
Among those protesting was Angie Nixon, the state representative for District 13 in the Florida House, who is also running for the U.S. Senate. As we reported, Nixon was seen and heard using a bullhorn in an attempt to disrupt the proceedings:

Newsom Attacks DeSantis – Instantly Regrets It
Last week, the Florida House Rules and Ethics Committee lowered the boom on Nixon’s juvenile behavior with an official reprimand because she deserved it:
The House Ethics Committee has officially voted to reprimand Rep. Angie Nixon for “intentionally and repeatedly” breaking House rules during the April 29 session.
“When our rules become suggestions, the rights of every member of this House become less secure.”
The committee found that Nixon’s use of a megaphone on the House floor created an environment of “confusion and chaos.”

Because Democrats are domestic terrorists, naturally Nixon learned nothing and decided to stage a ridiculous “sit-in” at DeSantis’ office on Friday to protest the new map and demand that it be reversed.

What happened next was classic DeSantis. After Nixon refused several requests to vacate the premises, the governor had her arrested and charged with trespassing, announcing his actions in typical fashion on the X plaform:
“FAFO”
He later tweeted: “Our office isn’t a platform for this performative nonsense.”
Currently, Republicans hold 20 of Florida’s 28 seats; under the new map, they should be able to win another four, further alienating the most destructive party in the history of Mankind.
