Newsom Brags About ‘Spending More’ On Education But Here’s What He Didn’t Mention

Text size

Gavin Newsom is your typical left-wing Democrat; he can’t be honest about any of his policies because Democrat policies don’t work as advertised.

One of the ways they disguise their failures is by throwing as much taxpayer money as possible at a problem and calling it solved. But of course, things don’t work that way in reality. Granted, it’s not that money doesn’t solve any problem, but along with spending money, you also have to back up the expenditure with a policy that works to produce the result(s) you seek.

And that’s where the disconnect is with Democrats: Expenditures vs. results. And Newsom just gave us the latest great example of this horrendous disconnect.

He took to the X platform this week to brag about how, under his watch, spending on “education” has risen $11,000 per pupil:

What did The Gav leave out? Results, of course. And why? Because over the same period of time, students in his state – under his watch – have continued to score among the lowest in the country in terms of reading, math, and writing skills:

Only 28 percent of black students in California read at grade level, compared to 52 percent of black students in that awful MAGA state of Mississippi who read at grade level.

Congrats, Newsom. Another Democrat ‘leader’ spending the most to produce the least favorable results.
