An 83-Year-Old House Democrat Has Been Missing For Weeks – Where Is She?

It’s looking more and more like accountability in Congress is an optional thing, at least among the Domestic Terrorist Party.

While the House of Representatives was busy casting votes this week, 83-year-old Democrat Rep. Frederica Wilson (FL-24) was notably absent. She has reportedly missed an astounding 43 consecutive House votes since April 17. Her office has not provided any explanation for her absence.

To make matters worse, the individuals managing Wilson’s social media accounts seem to be recycling old photos and presenting them as if they are new.

Congressional reporter Jamie Dupree highlighted Wilson’s unusual absence in a social media post, noting that she “missed all 10 votes” in the House on Wednesday and has now missed a total of 43 straight votes. Her last recorded vote appears to have taken place on April 17.

“Wilson’s X account this week sent out photos of a Service Academy day – but pictures from the same event were posted last October,” he added.

Can you imagine if Trump avoided public appearances for nearly a month and his Truth Social account just recycled old images? It really doesn’t take much to predict the media’s reaction to that scenario. When the president went somewhat low-key before Easter weekend, the media spun wild conspiracy theories about his health.

Remember Melania back in 2018? She underwent a minor kidney procedure at Walter Reed, and journalists suggested she was gravely ill, recovering from plastic surgery, had left Trump, or was even near death.

Now, there’s an 83-year-old congresswoman who hasn’t been seen in public for weeks, and not one of these so-called intrepid reporters seems curious about her whereabouts—except for Dupree.

Also, Rep. Tom Keane (R-N.J.) hasn’t voted since March 5. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), when finally pressed about it a couple weeks ago, said Keane was dealing with a “personal health matter” but didn’t elaborate.

After Dupree’s report, House Minority Leader Temu Obama Jeffries was compelled to explain that Wilson is “recovering from a procedure” and will be back on Capitol Hill “shortly.”
