Whenever Democrats get a favorable ruling in court and Republicans criticize it, they wax poetic about the “third branch of government needing its independence.” Whenever they lose in court – and that’s happened a lot in recent weeks – they whine about how they ‘was robbed,’ how the Judicial Branch is ‘politicized,’ and how they must tear it down and rebuild it in their image (so they never lose again):
We won in the Supreme Court on the Voting Rights Act. We won on the Virginia gerrymander. We won with Southern red states from Florida to Tennessee, immediately redistricting to eliminate the race-based blue seats.
Now, Speaker Mike Johnson has had enough. He reminded the Domestic Terrorist Party over the weekend they started the redistricting wars before the 2024 election, but because they keep losing, now they want to nuke the judicial system:

The right answer would be for Democrats to abandon all of their communism, wokeism, and Trump Derangement Syndrome, and replace it with winning ideas and policies that resonate with a majority of Americans. But no. They’ve become the party of America Last and their ‘solution’ to perpetual power is authoritarianism.
Courts in the way? Pack ’em! Too many Republican congressional districts? Steal ’em! Too many voters casting ballots for the GOP? Change the voting rules so we can cheat and steal elections.
